‘Captain America’ STEM Contest for Teen Girls Offers Marvel Studios Internship

'Captain America: Civil War' Final PosterWalt Disney Studios and Marvel Studios have offered several STEM-related contests in the past tied to films, often limiting entries to girls in particular to encourage their science and math educations. For Captain America: Civil War, however, they’re raising the stakes, offering a top prize of an internship with Marvel Studios.

The contest is called MARVEL’S CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR – GIRLS REFORMING THE FUTURE CHALLENGE and can be found at captainamericacivilwarchallenge.com. It’s open to girls ages 15-18, in the 10th-12th grades. Entries must consist of a 5 minute video, proposing a STEM related project to make the make the world a better place.

Marvel’s AVENGERS S.T.A.T.I.O.N. is an interactive exhibit experience that allows visitors to participate in a simulated recruitment as if they were being trained as agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
