NYCC: ABC Family to Bring ‘Shadowhunters,’ ‘Pretty Little Liars’ and ‘Stitchers’ with Cast, Sneak Peeks

ABC Family has announced that cast from its hit series ‘Pretty Little Liar’ and ‘Stitchers,’ and highly anticipated saga series ‘Shadowhunters’ will appear at New York Comic Con on October 9-10.

All three series will present fans with the opportunity to see exclusive footage from the upcoming season, as well as experience a Q&A with the series’ casts and creators. The ABC Family booth will feature talent appearances, giveaways, and other activities and activations. Talent scheduled to appear include the full cast of ‘Stitchers’ and ‘Shadowhunters’ and all five ‘Pretty Little Liars.’

‘Stitchers’ Drama Starts Production for ABC Family

(ABC Family/ Adam Rose) EMMA ISHTAABC Family has begun production on the new procedural drama series ‘Stitchers,’ filming in Los Angeles. ‘Stitchers’ follows Kirsten (Emma Ishta), a young woman recruited into a covert government agency to be ‘stitched’ into the minds of the recently deceased, using their memories to investigate murders and decipher mysteries that otherwise would have gone to the grave. Working alongside Kirsten is Cameron (Kyle Harris), a brilliant neuroscientist whose passion for the program is evident in his work. The secret program is headed by Maggie (Salli Richardson-Whitfield), a skilled veteran of covert operations, and includes Linus (Ritesh Rajan), a socially immature bioelectrical engineer and communications technician. Kirsten’s roommate, Camille (Allison Scagliotti), a gifted computer science grad student, is also recruited to use her skills to assist Kirsten in her new role as a ‘stitcher.’

ABC Family Adds ‘Stitchers’ Mystery Drama, Renews ‘Young & Hungry’

ABC Family today announced the network has picked up its first procedural drama ‘Stitchers’ to series and has ordered a second season of new comedy series ‘Young & Hungry.’

‘Stitchers’ is a procedural drama series written by Jeffrey A. Schechter. ‘Stitchers’ follows a young woman recruited into a covert government agency to be ‘stitched’ into the minds of the recently deceased using their memories to investigate murders and decipher mysteries that otherwise would have gone to the grave. The pilot was written by Jeffrey A. Schechter, who will executive produce alongside Jonathan Baruch and Rob Wolken.

‘Recovery Road,’ ‘Stitchers’ and ‘Unstrung’ Start Production for ABC Family

ABC Family has begun production in Los Angeles on three drama series pilots: ‘Recovery Road,’ ‘Stitchers’ and ‘Unstrung.’

Based on the popular young adult novel by Blake Nelson, ‘Recovery Road’ focuses on a teenage girl dealing with addiction. Maddie has a reputation as a party girl who doesn’t think she has a problem, until she’s confronted one day by her school guidance counselor and forced to choose between expulsion and rehab. Trying to save face, Maddie chooses to spend her nights living with other recovering addicts at a rehab facility and her days pretending everything is perfectly normal among her high school classmates and her closest friends. The pilot was written by Bert V. Royal and Karen DiConcetto, who will also serve as executive producers alongside Beth Miller and Craig Piligian from Pilgrim Studios and Danielle VonZerneck.
