‘Marvel Super Hero Squad Online’ Debuts New Challenge System, Heroes

Gazillion Entertainment and Marvel Entertainment today unveiled the brand new Challenge System in the free-to-play massively multiplayer online kids game Marvel Super Hero Squad Online. Through the Challenge System, players are rewarded for discovering new and exciting aspects of the game!

By completing Challenges players earn Gold, Silver, Tickets and even unique Marvel heroes! Visit and explore all the far corners of the game world zones, make new friends, play in the virtual arcade and complete Card Game Quests; these are just a few of the challenge activities that await your squad.

Best of all, there are Squad Challenges that allow players to earn free, new Heroes – heroes that cannot be purchased or earned in any other way! Fan favorites like Colossus, Daredevil, Firestar, Future Foundation Spider-Man, Sentry and more will be open to all players to earn for free, if they can rise to the Challenge!

Complete Squad Challenges, raise your Squad through the Ranks from Private through Sergeant and display your new badge proudly.

Gazillion Entertainment Offers First Look at Marvel’s ‘Super Hero Squad Online’

Gazillion Entertainment, a leading developer, publisher and operator of massively multiplayer online (MMO) games for wide audiences, today unveiled the first glimpse of the eagerly anticipated Super Hero Squad Online. For the first time, players worldwide will have the chance to be their favorite Super Heroes in a living online world. Based on the Super Hero Squad intellectual property that has spawned a wildly popular action figure line and smash-hit animated series, the game draws upon the 5,000-plus iconic heroes and villains in the Marvel Universe. Super Hero Squad Online offers players the chance to team up with friends as they engage in exhilarating combat, show off their decked-out squad in the game’s social spaces, collect thousands of items, and explore interactive environments based on classic and new Marvel worlds.

Developed by Gazillion studio The Amazing Society, Super Hero Squad Online allows gamers to unleash their imagination and lead their handpicked squad of Super Heroes on unforgettable adventures. Players will blast bad guys with Iron Man’s repulsors, slice through waves of robots with Wolverine’s claws and smash villains with Hulk’s huge fists. Master the talents and amazing powers of Spider-Man, Iron Man, War Machine, Invisible Woman and dozens more Marvel heroes. Discover new locations from the hit Super Hero Squad TV show, including the sewers of Villainville and the streets of Super Hero City, while also exploring classic Marvel landmarks such as the Daily Bugle, Baxter Building and Stark Tower.

Super Hero Squad Online also offers a fully customizable headquarters where players can show off their collection of trophies and design their own unique Super Hero hangout. Players can even invite friends over to their headquarters to watch as their squads interact with the environments they’ve created.

Gamers will be able to get their first look at Super Hero Squad Online when the teaser trailer debuts exclusively on GameTrailers TV (on SPIKE) Friday night, May 14th at 12:30am.

Toy Fair 2010: Basic Fun Brings Disney to the Koosh, Lets You Bring Disney Anywhere

In some of the biggest toy news this year, Basic Fun is breathing new life into the original Koosh and, for the first time ever, has united the iconic toy with some of your favorite Disney, Pixar, Muppets and Marvel Super Hero Squad friends.

As a Toy Story 3 licensee, Basic Fun is expanding its already established Games on the Go key chain editions of popular board games with a whole suite of new Toy Story 3 key chains and portable games including some new games inspired by the film. Games like Buzz Buzz are even electronic, allowing you to test your (or your surgeon’s) dexterity.

Not quite as small, but just as portable, are Disney Fairies and Mickey and Friends editions of the popular party game Twister. The innovative design boasts a full size 54″ x 72″ themed mat with the spinner integrated directly into the carrying case.
