I feel like I’ve been sharing a new clip from Disney’s Tangled practically every day. Oh wait, I have. This clip, titled ‘Pan-dering’ for reasons I suspect I shall never learn, actually is the lead-in to the clip posted yesterday, ‘Person In My Closet’ so I’ve re-posted it below the new one so you can re-watch it in sequence.
Walt Disney Animation Studios has provided us with this new still from Tangled which will be released in theaters nationwide on November 24. In addition to the still, in which Flynn catches a glimpse of what he’s just managed to get himself into, MakingOf.com has introduced a lengthy behind-the-scenes look at the challenges the animators faced when 70 feet of CG human hair became a focal point in the film. The featurette features senior software engineer Kelly Ward as she discusses the difficulties human hair presents to the modeling system and how those problems were complicated by Rapunzel’s lengthy do and how they managed to work around the obstacles by bending the laws of physics while still managing to keep a natural look.
With just a couple of days to go before the film’s release, we are treated to a new clip from the 50th animated film from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Tangled.
Here’s the setup: Rapunzel, meet Flynn. Flynn, meet frying pan.
Disney’s Tangled stars the vocal talents of Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi and Donna Murphy and opens in theaters nationwide on November 24. Mandy Moore (voice of Rapunzel) and Zachary Levi (voice of Flynn Rider) stopped by the Disney Store Times Square in New York City earlier today to take some time to read to local schoolchildren. The pair are in town to promote the 50th animated film from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Tangled, which opens in theaters nationwide on November 24.
Rapunzel, Flynn Rider and hair—lots of hair—from Disney’s Tangled were spotted at the Staples Center for the Los Angeles Kings vs. Columbus Blue Jackets hockey game on Wednesday, November 17th. Disney’s hair-raising adventure Tangled hits theatres on November 24th in Disney Digital 3D™. ?

They keep coming and today we have a trio of viral videos for Disney’s Tangled, from Walt Disney Animation Studios.
In the first video, there’s a studio apartment available for rent or lease. Its last tenant had been there for eighteen years, but spoiler alert: we’re not quite sure there’s a bathroom.
Next is a television ad for the opportunity to own one of the most lethal and feared weapons man has ever known. Oh, and you can cook with it too. Now how much would you pay? Witness the power of the frying pan:
The original motion picture soundtrack to Disney’s Tangled was released today and is now available for purchase and immediate download from several sources, but clearly one of the best deals so far appears to be Amazon.comwho is currently selling the complete album in MP3 format plus digital booklet for just $3.99.
The album consists of 20 tracks featuring all new songs written by Alan Menken and Glenn Slater and performed by Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi, Donna Murphy and the supporting cast as well as the end-title variation Something That I Want by Grace Potter.
As a follow-up to the ‘Smolder by Flynn‘ viral video which spoofed those puzzling perfume/cologne commercials that never seem to make any sense , Walt Disney Animation Studios now takes a look at an equally questionable genre of ads: medications. There’s a tad new footage here and (taken in context), it does offer up a couple of minor spoilers, but overall it’s a very clever take on that brand of commercial. While the faux ad does promote rapunzhair.com towards the end, the site is currently not available.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced today that a total of fifteen animated features have been accepted to vie for Oscar for Animated Feature Film during the 83rd Annual Academy Awards. Amongst them are three entries from The Walt Disney Company: Tangled, Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue and Toy Story 3. Competing for the Animated Feature Film category does not preclude the film for entering Best Picture as long as the film satisfies the categories’ requirements for consideration.
Walt Disney Animation Studios has released a new featurette and clip in promotion of its upcoming animated classic Disney’s Tangled starring Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi and opening nationwide on November 24.
In the featurette, titled ‘The Dynamic Duo,’ the usual gang of Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi, co-directors Byron Howard and Nathan Greno and John Lasseter explore the individual personalities and teaming up of Rapunzel and the swashbuckling thief Flynn Rider. In addition to quite a bit of newly released footage, there’s also some behind-the-scenes voiceover work.
