IMAX Corp., Marvel Television, a unit of Marvel Entertainment, and Disney|ABC Television Group today announced an innovative agreement to exclusively premiere the new ABC series “Marvel’s The Inhumans” in IMAX commercial theatres, marking the first time a live-action television series has debuted in this manner.
Disney Channel and Raven-Symoné are developing and beginning preliminary casting for a family sitcom that will continue the story of her character from the iconic series “That’s So Raven” for a new generation of kids, tweens and families. Raven will both executive produce and reprise her role of the fan-favorite character Raven Baxter. Longtime writer/producer partners Scott Thomas and Jed Elinoff (Disney Channel’s “Best Friends Whenever,” Emmy nominees for “R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour”) are working on the development of the untitled spin-off series.
The show, which will be co-produced by Disney Junior, Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media’s (DCPI) Content & Media group, and The Muppets Studio, will be CG-animated this time around. Much like the original, the new series will chronicle the playroom antics of Kermit, Piggy, Animal, and more. Even Miss Nanny will be returning.
Each episode of the show will feature two 11-minute stories about the Muppet Babies’ adventures. The iconic characters will be doing anything from building a time machine to flying through outer space. The series will be geared towards kids aged 4-7 and will highlight creative and critical thinking.
Freeform announced today that they will be bringing cast and executive producers from the hit series ‘Shadowhunters’ and new original drama ‘Beyond’ to New York Comic Con on October 7-8.
New original series ‘Beyond’ will present its first episode in its entirety to the crowd, followed by a Q&A with cast and executive producers, including Tim Kring and David Eick on Friday, October 7. Returning hit series ‘Shadowhunters’ will debut exclusive footage from the upcoming second season during a panel featuring executive producers, McG, Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer, and cast, on Saturday, October 8, at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

Production started this week in Los Angeles on the new Freeform comedy pilot ‘Alone Together’ by The Lonely Island team of Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer. In addition to series stars Esther Povitsky and Benji Aflalo, Freeform has cast guest stars Chris D’Elia, Ginger Gonzaga, Edgar Blackmon, Hayley Marie Norman, Kamilla Alnes, Jim O’Heir and Justine Lupe.
‘Alone Together’ is a half-hour, single-camera comedy about two overlooked millennial misfits from different backgrounds trying to make their way into the vain and status-obsessed culture of Los Angeles only to find salvation in their male/female strictly platonic friendship. Esther Povitsky, Benji Aflalo and Eben Russell serve as writers and executive producers on the pilot. Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, Akiva Schaffer, Billy Rosenberg and Hunter Covington also serve as executive producers. Daniel Gray Longino will direct the pilot.
Legendary satirist and Grammy Award-winning recording artist Al Yankovic voices the title role in ‘Milo Murphy’s Law,’ a new animated adventure comedy series debuting MONDAY, OCTOBER 3 (8:00 p.m. EDT), on Disney XD. From creators and executive producers Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh of the Emmy Award-winning animated series “Phineas and Ferb,” the series follows 13-year-old Milo Murphy, the fictional great-great-great-great grandson of the Murphy’s Law namesake. Milo is the personification of Murphy’s Law, where anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.

Freeform has greenlit a new drama pilot titled ‘The Deep. Production is set to begin in September in Vancouver.
‘The Deep’ is a one-hour drama that takes us inside Bristol Cove, a coastal town known for its legend of once being home to mermaids. When the arrival of a mysterious girl proves this folklore all too true, the battle between man and sea takes a very vicious turn as these predatory beings return to reclaim their right to the ocean. Eric Wald and Dean White will write and executive produce the pilot. Scott Stewart will direct. Brad Luff, Nate Hopper and RD Robb will also serve as executive producers. Emily Whitesell will serve as showrunner.
During the ‘Once Upon A Time’ panel at San Diego Comic-Con, it was confirmed Aladdin (alongside Jafar) would be making his ‘Once Upon A Time’ debut in season six which returns to ABC on September 25, 2016. Deniz Akdeniz has been cast as Aladdin while Oded Fehr has been re-cast in the recurring role of Jafar.
