ABC Family brings the thrills and chills with ’13Nights of Halloween,’ a celebration filled with scares as you countdown to Halloween. The popular programming event, now in its 16th year, starts Sunday, October 19th and concludes on Friday, October 31st. The fright fest features brand-new Halloween-themed episodes of ‘Melissa & Joey’ and ‘Baby Daddy,’ an all-new ‘Pretty Little Liars’ fan appreciation special, plus the hilariously scary prank specials ‘Freak Out.’ The stunt will also include the network television premieres of ‘Dark Shadows’ and ‘ParaNorman,’ and a ghoulish mix of Halloween-themed programming.
Later tonight, at 8:00 pm ET/PT, the ABC television network will air ‘The Story of Frozen: Making an Animated Classic,’ an hour-long special that promises to go behind-the-scenes of what Disney refers to as the most successful animated film at all time.
ABC has provided us with a screener of the television special and we are pleased to report that it was (for the most part) an absolute joy to watch from start to finish. Narrated by Josh Gad (voice of Olaf), the special incorporates interviews with stars Kristen Bell (Anna), Idina Menzel (Elsa) and Jonathan Goff (Kristoff/’Sven’) along with co-directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, character lead animators Becky Bresee (Anna), Wayne Unten (Elsa), Hyrum Osmond (Olaf), Brittney Lee, producer Peter Del Vecho and John Lasseter.
In our recent review of the ABC television special, ‘The Story of Frozen: Making an Animated Classic,’ we noted that some of the new behind-the-scenes footage included the daughter of Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Katie, and the daughter of writer/co-director Jennifer Lee, Aggie, performing the singing voice of Anna alongside Kristen Bell in ‘Do You Want to Build a Snowman?’

ABC Studios has just shared these photos from the upcoming fourth season of ‘Once Upon a Time’ featuring characters from Disney’s animated hit, Frozen. Pictured in the gallery below are stills from the series featuring Georgina Haig as Elsa, Scott Michael Foster as Kristoff and who we presume to be Sven. Also cast for the show are Elizabeth Lail as Anna, Tyler Jacob Moore as Hans and John Rhys-Davies as Pabbie.
In the new season, viewers are invited to join Emma Swan, Snow White, Prince Charming, The Evil Queen, Hook and all the other resident fairytale characters as they prepare to defend themselves against a magical force from the past that’s too unpredictable even for Rumplestiltskin — Elsa, the Ice Queen from Arendelle.
ABC Studios has released a taste of the gag reel that will be among the bonus features of ‘Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: The Complete First Season‘ when it debuts on Blu-ray and DVD on September 9, 2014. You can find the gag reel embedded below.
Two years ago, ‘Gravity Falls’ made its San Diego Comic-Con debut. Then a fledgling animated series with just a few episodes aired, the series was intended to be spotlighted along with a few other Disney Television Animation (DTVA) shows in the panel held in a relatively small room. Much to everyone’s surprise — especially the series’ creator, Alex Hirsch, however, it was already a breakout hit with the fans and Stitch Kingdom is pleased to be able to say we were there (you can read the full report here). Fast forward to 2014 and ‘Gravity Falls’ was featured in its own panel, easily playing to a much larger, standing room only crowd.
This is a placeholder for my review of the first episode of Disney XD’s ‘Star Wars Rebels’ that was screened last night to an invitation-only crowd at San Diego Comic-Con. It is a placeholder because I did not have the opportunity to actually attend the screening held at the Reading Theater in the Gaslamp District. Perhaps when I actually get to see ‘Star Wars Rebels,’ I will update this article. Until then, this is a placeholder. And in order to fill the space which is being held, I will indulge my self and explain just why it’s a placeholder.
