It’s normally a jungle in the emergency room of CBS’ ‘Code Black’ television drama series, but on November 25, 2015 at 10:00 pm ET/PT, things are about to get straight up wild in an episode titled ‘The Son Rises.’ Alton Fitzgerald White, the lead of the touring company of ‘The Lion King’ with a record-breaking 4,000 performance of Mufasa under his belt, and eight other members of ‘The Lion King’ touring cast will guest on the show. Photos from the episode have been provided to us by Disney Theatrical and can be found embedded below.

WATCH: ‘The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar’ Trailer, Premiering November 22

The Lion GuardThe epic storytelling of Disney’s The Lion King continues with The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar, a primetime television movie event premiering on November 22 at 7 pm ET/PT on Disney Channel. The movie follows Kion, the second-born cub of Simba and Nala, as he assumes the role of leader of the Lion Guard, a team of animals tasked with preserving the Pride Lands. The movie is a precursor to ‘The Lion Guard’ television series, premiering in early 2016 on Disney Channels and Disney Junior channels around the globe.

ABC Announces Dates for Ice Skating Specials Series

ABC Television Network and Disson Skating today announced upcoming airdates for its Colgate Skating Series: “Musselman’s Apple Sauce Family Skating Tribute” (NOVEMBER 15, 3:00-5:00 p.m., ET), “Pandora Jewelry Holiday Celebrations on Ice” (NOVEMBER 29, 3:00-5:00 p.m., ET), “Paul Mitchell Shall We Dance on Ice” (FEBRUARY 13, 2016, 3:00-5:00 p.m., ET), and “Colgate Skating & Gymnastics Spectacular” (FEBRUARY 20, 2016, 3:00-5:00 p.m., ET).

Each two-hour special will feature world-renowned Olympic ice skating champions and special live musical performances – and select specials will feature Olympic gymnasts and celebrated professional dancers as well.

CONFIRMED: Disney ‘Descendants’ Sequel Greenlit; Cast Appearance at Disneyland This Weekend

A sequel script to Disney’s Descendants (working title: Descendants 2) has been commissioned from the first movie’s screenwriters, Sara Parriott and Josann McGibbon, who will also serve as executive producers on the project. The announcement was made today by Gary Marsh, President and Chief Creative Officer, Disney Channels Worldwide. Descendants is cable television’s fifth highest-rated movie of all-time.

On Saturday, October 17, the stars of Disney’s Descendants, including Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce, Booboo Stewart and Sofia Carson, and Kenny Ortega will celebrate with fans during an on-stage, music and dance-filled event at Downtown Disney District, Disneyland Resort, in Anaheim, California.

PHOTO: ‘Mickey Mouse Club’ Original Mouseketeers Reunite at Walt Disney Family Museum for 60th Anniversary

Mouseketteers 60th ReunionCommemorating the 60th anniversary of the Mickey Mouse Club on the ABC television network, which debuted on October 3, 1955, the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco’s Presidio reunited several of the original Mouseketeers during a special program. Pictured left are: Sharon Baird, Bobby Burgess, Doreen Tracey, Tommy Cole, Sherry Alberoni, The Mickey Mouse Club’s Spin and Marty (David Stollery and Tim Considine), plus Mouseketeers Karen Pendleton and Darlene Gillespie. The museum’s celebration will continue today, Sunday, October 4.

Also celebrating its 60th anniversary, the Disneyland Resort has also produced a limited release edition t-shirt honoring the 60th anniversary of the Mickey Mouse Club, which is available exclusively online through October 8.

Nicki Minaj to Produce Half-Hour Autobiographical Comedy Series for ABC Family

Grammy Award®-nominated, multiplatinum superstar Nicki Minaj will executive produce a new scripted comedy series for ABC Family that she will also appear in. It was announced today by Karey Burke, Executive Vice President Programming and Development, ABC Family. The single-camera comedy will shoot in her hometown of Queens, New York this winter.

The half-hour comedy is based on Minaj and her family’s immigration from Trinidad in the early 1990’s. It will focus on her growing up in Queens with her vibrant family and the personal and musical evolution that led to her eventual rise to stardom.

FIRST LADY MICHELLE OBAMA, DOCIn the upcoming ‘Doc McStuffins’ episoded titled ‘Doc McStuffins Goes to Washington,’ Doc and the toys travel to Washington D.C. to meet the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama. Airing on Disney Channel on Child Health Day (Monday, October 5, 2015) at 9:00 am, the First Lady invites Doc and other kids who are making a difference in their community to the White House to be honored in a special ceremony. While there, the First Lady appoints Doc the official ‘toy doctor’ for the White House.

Disney Channel Options ‘Upside-Down Magic’ Book Series for Television

'Upside-Down Magic'Disney Channel has announced that it has optioned Upside-Down Magic, a new book series from Scholastic, for development of an original TV show. The first book of the series, by bestselling authors Sarah Mlynowski, Lauren Myracle and Emily Jenkins, will be released on September 29, 2015.

Upside-Down Magic follows the misadventures of Nory, the youngest in a family of elite magicians, who finds herself relegated to a class for misfits after one magical mishap too many. There Nory meets a group of kids with equally wonky powers. Surrounded by people who believe in her, she starts to question if her so-called ‘upside-down magic’ might actually be right side up after all.
