Guests at the D23 Expo will be among the first to see the highly anticipated one-hour drama Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on Sunday, August 11 at 3:00 p.m. in the D23 Expo Arena. Marvel’s Head of Television & Series executive producer Jeph Loeb will introduce the screening, taking place during the ultimate Disney fan event, August 9 – 11, at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Production has begun on the animated series “Miles From Tomorrowland,” a space adventure for preschoolers. Slated to debut in 2015 on Disney Junior channels and programming blocks around the world, the series follows the outer space voyages of young adventurer Miles and his family. The announcement was made today by Nancy Kanter, Senior Vice President, Original Programming and General Manager, Disney Junior Worldwide.
Kanter said, “We hope this series will influence a child’s interest in science and technology by introducing them at an early age to the exciting world of space exploration, how things work and what lies beyond the here and now.”
Disney Channel taps into a three-dimensional “geek chic” comedy adventure with “How to Build a Better Boy,” a present day take on a futuristic story starring Disney Channel star China Anne McClain (“A.N.T. Farm”) and Disney XD star Kelli Berglund (“Lab Rats”). Set in Washington, DC, the storyline follows high school sophomores Mae Hartley (Berglund) and Gabby Harrison (McClain), two tech-savvy best friends who devise a plan to create the perfect boyfriend with just a few strokes of the keyboard and a wireless connection. What Gabby and Mae don’t realize is that the computer they use is set up to generate a robotic super soldier, which they have inadvertently activated in the form of Albert, a macho yet sensitive super cute boy.
Hosted by Derek Hough, ‘Family Dance Off’ is a one-hour special featuring five families who love to dance and who get the chance of a lifetime to perform and compete on a Hollywood stage before a live studio audience. Five families with a variety of backgrounds and styles will perform, the studio audience will vote, and the favorite family will dance away with a grand prize of $10,000. ‘Family Dance Off’ airs Sunday, August 25 at 9:00 pm ET on The ABC Television Network.
ABC’s hit TV series, “Revenge,” introduced Emily Thorne (portrayed by Emily VanCamp) and her complex mission. The show’s storyline has hinted at Emily’s covert training on remote Rebun Island with master Takeda. Reilly plays a world-famous neuroscientist who unwraps the mysteries of the brain as she juggles complex issues of her own.
Elizabeth Black, world renowned neuroscientist, appears to have it all. In an impossible journey to find balance in her life, she is constantly haunted by her own struggle with mental illness. On the outside, Elizabeth has a special touch for the patients she treats at The Center for Neurological Research and Treatment, otherwise known as “The Cube.” However Elizabeth’s mental illness is not the only secret she’s kept locked away from her family and her new fiance.
