‘The Avengers’ Clip – Black Widow’s Escape

As the Pacific clock struck midnight last night, Marvel Studios released this new clip from its upcoming film The Avengers in which Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) needs to cut her interrogation short due to an incoming phone call from Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg). Given that she’s the subject f the interrogation, Black Widow makes an exit that only she can manage to pull off delicately.

In Marvel’s The Avengers, the world’s greatest Super Heroes assemble when Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) join S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to protect the world from the dangerous and powerful villain, Loki (Tom Hiddleston).

Marvel’s The Avengers will be released in the U.S. in 3D and IMAX 3D on May 4, 2012.

‘The Avengers’ to Close Tribeca Film Festival; Event to Honor Local Heroes

The Tribeca Film Festival (TFF), presented by American Express, announced today that Marvel’s The Avengers, presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures, will close its 11th edition on Saturday, April 28. Closing night will take place at Tribeca BMCC PAC and is sponsored by Bombay Sapphire® Gin.

Honoring the spirit of the Tribeca Film Festival, the screening will allow the opportunity for Marvel’s The Avengers to celebrate everyday heroes from police agencies, fire departments, first responders and various branches of the U.S. military. These local heroes will have an opportunity to attend the screening and meet the cast.

‘The Avengers’ New Trailer Now Available Online

Just ahead of its exclusive domestic release on iTunes, Walt Disney Studios UK debuted the newest trailer for Marvel’s The Avengers (known in the UK as Avengers Assemble to avoid ‘confusion’ with the famous television series). The 2 1/2 minute trailer features plenty of special f/x and plenty of team poignant moments including what appears to be The Hulk saving the life of Iron Man while destroying a building in the process.
