‘The Bachelorette’ Suitors for Desiree Hartsock Announced
What do a Cuban Casanova — who is a gentle giant but might be too good to be true — a hard charging federal prosecutor, a sexy former pro soccer player who is a single dad, a free spirited drilling fluid engineer with a captivating sense of humor, a self-proclaimed Southern gentleman who also is a single father, and a suave, debonair financial advisor with a dark secret in his past all have in common? They’re all on the hunt for the new Bachelorette, Desiree Hartsock, when the ninth edition of the female version of ABC’s popular romance reality series, “The Bachelorette,” premieres on Monday, May 27 at 9:00 pm ET/PT on the ABC Television Network.
Desiree, 27, who grew up in a family of modest means but rich in love, meets 25 potential soul mates as she begins her own search for true love. In the premiere, “Episode 901,” 25 eligible men come from all over to try and win Desiree’s heart. Immediately the drama and one-upsmanship begin. Desiree’s anxiety melts away as soon as the men start to compete to impress her: Larry, a nervous ER doctor, tries to break some romantic dance moves, but he’s no Fred Astaire; Nick R., who plies his trade as a professional magician, displays his talents to Desiree; a shirtless Zak W., a hunky oil rig worker, displays an outstanding six-pack to impress the Bachelorette; and Diogo appears like a knight in shining armor – literally. But the one who captures Desiree’s heart is our youngest man to ever climb out of a limousine — Ben’s four-year-old adorable son, Brody, who accompanies his single dad.
The battle for Desiree’s attention and affection has only begun. The 19 roses come out early. Nick R. sets off a commotion as the men rush to get time alone with the Bachelorette. After Desiree gives out the first rose, a jealous frenzy erupts between the guys. Brad, who is a part-time DJ, sparkles with some hip hop dance moves. Fearless, topless Zak W. strips down to his underwear and dives into the pool. But how will Desiree react to this immodest stunt? Strikingly handsome Juan Pablo, a former pro soccer player, attempts to give the Bachelorette a private dribbling lesson. However, before too long, the rest of the men jump into the action. And Jonathan drops a bombshell when he decides the time is right to invite Desiree into his own special “fantasy suite,” which leads to an explosive reaction.
Some bachelors with early roses can relax, but the others are very apprehensive as the season’s first rose ceremony begins. Finally, Desiree will have the 19 men who will move into the mansion and continue on the quest for her heart.
Desiree’s 25 suitors are:

Sean Lowe Named Next ‘The Bachelor,’ Season Premiere January 7
A heavy sigh went out from millions of viewers as they shared Sean Lowe’s heartbreak when Emily Maynard – who all season long called him the “perfect man” — made him the last bachelor eliminated before the finale of the eighth edition of “The Bachelorette.” It completely blindsided Sean, who finally had been able to admit to Emily that he was in love with her. Now, after falling for Emily, Sean knows the time is right for him to make the ultimate commitment to the right woman and to start his own family, when the 17th edition of ABC’s hit romance reality series, “The Bachelor,” premieres Monday, January 7 at 8:00 pm ET/PT on the ABC Television Network.
Sean, 28, a successful Dallas businessman and entrepreneur, totally charmed Bachelor Nation when he pranked Emily on his hometown date, fooling her into thinking initially that he still lived at home with his parents. Having fallen in love on “The Bachelorette,” this sincere, reliable all-American guy is confident that he will find his soul mate and a lasting, love-filled relationship this time on “The Bachelor.” A real romantic, he loves to make a woman feel special and, as a life-long Texan, holds Southern values close to his heart. He wants to propose once, be married once and live a faithful family life, like his parents, who have had a loving 35-year union. Sean has a clear vision of what his life would be like with that one special woman: He wants to be the patriarch of a family that is centered on faith, love and laughter. He is eager to be a supportive husband who will encourage his wife to chase her dreams, and to be someone she can rely on to help her through good and bad times. Quite simply, he is looking for his best friend. Sean also wants a big family and would love to adopt a child, as well as have some of his own, as long as he can pass on the values he has taught his kids.
His close-knit family includes a sister, Shay, who was introduced to her husband by Sean. The two men were best friends on their college football team. Shay and her husband have two children, whom Sean adores.
The 6’3″ Sean went to Kansas State on a full football scholarship and, as a linebacker, was part of the 2003 Big 12 Conference Championship Team. He also received a BS in social science. Although he started off his career in finance, he followed in his father’s footsteps in the insurance industry before committing to his new enterprise, owning and running an upscale, custom furniture business.
Sean has varied hobbies and interests, including camping, wakeboarding, dancing, outdoor activities, attending concerts and doing just about anything with his two dogs, Lola and Ellie.

‘Bachelorette’ Takes to Highlands of Croatia, Inspired by ‘Brave;’ Rose Ceremony History Made (Spoilers)
The medieval town of Dubrovnik supplies the beauty, and Emily and the remaining eight men provide the fireworks as the romantic world tour continues. The bachelors are hoping that Emily finally will see through Ryan’s bold faade when they go on a one-on-one date. Arie decides to break the rules and risks sneaking out of the guys’ suite to see Emily, but what kind of reception will he get? A group date starts with a special sneak peek screening of the new Disney/Pixar film Brave, but the guys find out that they need to compete for Emily’s attention by dressing in kilts and performing in their own version of the Highland Games, just like in the movie. Finally at the rose ceremony, Emily continues to make bold moves to ensure her future happiness and also makes Bachelorette history, on “The Bachelorette,” Monday, June 1 at 8:00 pm ET/PT on the ABC Television Network.
Although sad to be without her daughter for the first time during this journey, Emily is looking forward to putting the drama of last week behind her and enjoying this magnificent city with her guys. As the men arrive at their suite at the Radisson Blue Resort and Spa, Emily delivers the first date card herself, inviting Travis to “look for love beyond the walls.” The couple explore old town – buying souvenirs, walking the ramparts of the walled city and dancing to local music. Later that evening, at a romantic dinner spot in an ancient fort, Travis opens up about the broken engagement in his past. Will his touching story heat things up with Emily or will he be sent home without a rose?
The next day, six men meet Emily in old town Dubrovnik, where she takes them to a breathtaking historic theater. There they are treated to a VIP sneak peek of Disney/Pixar’s highly anticipated new film Brave (in theaters June 22). The men had better be paying attention because afterwards, mimicking the movie, they will be asked to dress in kilts and compete in their own Highland Games. The bachelors fire arrows, throw logs and test each other’s strength. Although one bachelor dominates the competition, another wins over Emily with his persistence in the face of defeat. The after party finds one handsome man taking Emily on an intimate walk and talk in the streets of Dubrovnik, while another brave suitor offers the Bachelorette his heart.
Ryan is raring to go on his one-on-one date with Emily. She has her own doubts about this charismatic charmer, but wants to keep an open mind. After a romantic drive up the Adriatic coast, stopping to take photos, meet the locals and even harvest oysters, they return to town for an intimate dinner, and Ryan lays out all the qualities he is looking for in a wife. Does Emily fit the bill? This smooth-talking bachelor won’t take “no” for an answer, but will this confident suitor be able to sell Emily on his vision on their future life together?
And later that night, Arie can’t resist slinking out of the hotel to pay Emily a visit. She invites him in and after he kisses her goodnight, he realizes he is falling in love.
Some of the more anxious men use the cocktail party to plead their cases, as one bachelor reveals his vulnerable side while another one assures Emily that he would be her best choice. Emily remains conflicted over which men should receive roses and walks out of the room with the final rose in her hand. How she resolves the problem makes Bachelorette history. The hometown dates loom ahead as the six remaining men and Emily toast to their next spectacular destination: Prague.
The eight remaining men are:
Arie, 30, a race car driver from Scottsdale, AZ
Chris, 25, a corporate sales director from Chicago, IL

‘The Bachelorette’ Names Potential Suitors for Emily Maynard
What do an athletic stud who says all the right things, a dashing Indy car driver who would like to take a victory lap, a skateboarding hipster who likes a good chase, a successful businessman who loves to make a huge first impression, and a single hunky dad whom you’d like to bring home to mother all have in common? They’re all on the hunt for the new Bachelorette, Emily Maynard, when the eighth edition of the female version of ABC’s popular romance reality series, “The Bachelorette,” premieres Monday, May 14 at 9:31 pm ET on the ABC Television Network.
Emily, 26, a single mom who lives with her six-year-old daughter Ricki in Charlotte, North Carolina, meets 25 potential soul mates as she begins her own search for true love. In the premiere, “Episode 801,” 25 eligible men come from all over to try and win Emily’s heart. Immediately, the drama and the one-upsmanship begin: Emily is hit with a bad case of nerves, but that anxiety melts away as soon as the men start to compete to impress her. Tony makes like Prince Charming and presents her with a glass slipper. Jef, a successful entrepreneur, springs onto the scene on a skateboard. Party MC Stevie shows off his “can’t miss” dance moves. Travis offers a gift with a special meaning for Emily and her daughter. However Kalon is not to be outdone and lands in his private helicopter, much to the chagrin of the other men.
The battle for Emily’s attention and affection has only begun. Once inside the mansion, Kyle, a confident financial advisor, is eager to captivate Emily, but Brent, a single father of six, is busy showing off his voluminous collection of family photos. Chris, the handsome sales director, makes his mark with some custom bobble head dolls. But Arie, a professional race car driver, is nervous to share his career with Emily – fearing that it will remind her of her late fiancé, Ricky Hendrick. And Doug, another single dad, shares a tender moment with the Bachelorette, bringing with him a touching letter from his 11-year-old son.
After Chris Harrison reveals the first impression rose, the tension mounts and sparks fly. Stevie, the brash entertainer, confronts Kalon, the grandstanding wealthy suitor, accusing him of being selfish and insincere. Emily, unaware of the friction between the bachelors, is wooed away by the skateboarding Jef, who exudes a soft-spoken confidence that impresses her. Emily finally offers the first rose to a bachelor who was so charming that it would be hard for any of the men to argue with her choice.

And Country Star Luke Bryant, Plus a Scene-Stealing Performance by The Muppets.
Emily Maynard, the beautiful, sweet, young mom who captured America’s and Brad Womack’s heart on the 15th season of “The Bachelor,” finally thought she had her happy ending. She accepted Brad’s proposal but unfortunately their relationship ended, along with her dream of moving to Austin with her daughter, Ricki, and starting a family. But Emily is ready for her luck to change and to bring her the love she so richly deserves. It’s hard to meet men as a single mom, but Emily will have her pick of 25 bachelors when she gets a second opportunity to find love starring in the eighth edition of “The Bachelorette,” the female version of ABC’s hit romance reality series, premiering Monday, May 14 at 9:31 pm ET ABC Television Network.
Instantly popular with “Bachelor” fans, Emily’s strength, passion and southern charm – as a mother and as a woman – would make anyone happy to make her his wife. She feels incredibly grateful to have found her first love when she was very young, although her fiance, famed NASCAR driver and team owner Ricky Hendrick, tragically died in a plane crash. She then discovered she was pregnant with their child, the apple of her eye – Ricki. Despite not having dated a lot, Emily, 26, knows what it’s like to be truly in love. In the past seven years, she has been looking for someone with the same spark she has for life, and she believes that she will find her soul mate on “The Bachelorette.”
On the premiere, Emily’s journey begins in her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, where she lives with her six-year-old daughter, Ricki. After saying “good night” to Ricki, Emily arrives at a southern mansion where she meets her 25 potential soulmates who have traveled across the country. They include a biology teacher, a mushroom farmer, a marine biologist and a ex-professional football player. Emily is nervous, but her anxiety slips away and soon turns to laughter as a single dad produces a glass slipper and proclaims her a princess; a youthful entrepreneur swoops in on a skateboard; a party MC shows off his dance moves; and a southern gentleman brings something special that symbolizes his dedication to protecting her and Ricki. But although one man’s grand entrance in a helicopter impresses Emily, it only makes him a target of jealousy and ridicule from the other bachelors.
Inside the mansion, the battle is on among the eager suitors vying for the attention of the southern belle. A confident man is eager to charm Emily, but he is upstaged by a single father of six excited to show off his family photos to her. One handsome man wins her over with a pair of custom bobble head dolls, but another bachelor is extremely nervous when he reveals his career, fearing that it will remind her of her late fiance. The night turns more emotional when another single dad brings her a heartwarming letter from his 11-year-old son. The competition erupts into a full-fledged competition when Chris Harrison brings out the coveted first impression rose. A tough-talking entertainer confronts the wealthy suitor who dropped in via helicopter, accusing him of being selfish and insincere. But unaware of the tension, Emily is stolen away by the skateboarder, whose soft-spoken and self-confident ways impress her. Everyone holds their breath as Emily gives out the first impression rose to one charming bachelor, but no one can blame her for choosing him. By the end of the night, Emily will have 19 men left to compete for her affections and, in the end, her heart. A list of bachelors will be released shortly.
Emily’s hunt for Mr. Right will take place during some of the most romantic and adventurous dates ever, with exciting surprises in store for both her and her bachelors as they travel around the world for intimate dates in Bermuda, London, Dubrovnik, Prague and other exciting locations. A jam packed schedule in Charlotte has Emily taking one lucky man to an exclusive red carpet affair, including a romantic dinner for two and a special concert by hit country band Gloriana. Emily may have to kiss one more frog to get her prince as she and a group of bachelors perform live for a worthy cause with The Muppets, including Kermit and Miss Piggy. Country music star Luke Bryan serenades Emily and one handsome bachelor, but only after the two attempt to scale a tall building. Even Emily’s best friends get to grill 12 of the men and put them to the test in a park full of children. In a delightful surprise to both Emily and one of the men, they travel to one of Emily’s favorite places – Dollywood — and are serenaded by none other than the Queen of Country herself, Dolly Parton.
Then Emily and the remaining men journey to beautiful Bermuda. But three bachelors will not be leaving the Bermuda Triangle with her at the end of their stay. The bachelorette then whisks the remaining men across the Atlantic to London for a week of royal romance, including a double-decker bus tour of Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park and a very special dinner with one lucky guy in the Tower of London. A group of the bachelors do their best to harness their inner thespians as they rehearse and perform scenes from “Romeo and Juliet” in Stratford-on-Avon. Historic and picturesque Dubrovnik is the backdrop for the group’s next set of romantic adventures. After a sneak peek at the next eagerly awaited Pixar film, Brave, a group of spirited bachelors compete in a round of Highland games in order to win extra time with Emily. The magnificent city of Prague plays host to Emily and her remaining men as they variously have a private dinner cruise down the Vltava River, explore a medieval castle and even have a date to marionette shop and visit the Lennon Wall of Love and a spooky dungeon. Finally, after the crucial hometown dates, three lucky men travel with Emily to an exotic destination for some of the most intimate and sensual overnight dates ever. Emily will have traveled the world again for love, but will she finally make her own fairytale come true?
As in the past, men will continue to be eliminated each week, but if at any point along the way a bachelor should decide that he’s no longer interested in the Bachelorette, he can reject her invitation to continue dating. Two lucky men will meet her family, and she will visit the final bachelors’ hometowns for a slice of their lives in an effort to determine the man with whom she is most compatible — but there are surprises in store for Emily that will shake her world. At the end of the journey, the Bachelorette may quite possibly have found true love. But the big question is: After all of this, will he pop the question, and will she say yes?

How will the Bachelor handle his heartbreaking decision at the end of the night? Ben soars in a helicopter with Kacie B. over Panama City and the Caribbean, landing on a deserted island where they spend the day, but she makes a stunning disclosure which demonstrates her ability to really open up to Ben. The six women on the group date trek with the Bachelor through the Panamanian jungle and end up at a small village, communicating with their inhabitants, the Emberas. Six lucky women “get lost” with Ben in the middle of the Panamanian jungle at the bank of the Chagres River. The Bachelor scoops up the ladies in a motorboat and the group zip through the jungle waters before coming upon the Emberas in their small village. The two join Ben for a day of sexy salsa dancing. All of this comes easily to Blakeley, but Rachel feels like a third wheel on the date. After both women have alone time with him, Ben is forced to make the toughest decision of his journey so far.
On rose ceremony day, Chris pays a surprise visit to the women, pulling Casey S. from the group. How will he take the news?
