ABC Family (Freeform as of January 2016) has announced its winter premiere dates for new scripted drama ‘Recovery Road’ and fan favorites ‘The Fosters,’ ‘Young & Hungry,’ and ‘Baby Daddy.’ These series join previously announced January premieres for ‘Pretty Little Liars’ and ‘Shadowhunters.’
Disney Publishing Worldwide and ABC Family today announced a companion novel to the hit series, ‘The Fosters,’ titled ‘The Fosters: Keep Your Frenemies Close,’ scheduled for release on January 27, 2015. Based on characters from ABC Family’s hit TV series ‘The Fosters,’ written by former Wall Street Journal reporter and non-fiction author Stacy Kravetz. The book cover will be revealed today in five pieces via an online scavenger hunt on ‘The Fosters’ social media sites including Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest and Twitter, with the first piece of the puzzle shared here.

Disney Consumer Products and ABC Family, in collaboration with The Wet Seal Inc., today announced a millennial lifestyle brand called ‘Crush by ABC Family.’ The new collection will offer an assortment of apparel and accessory styles wholly inspired by the fashion-forward female characters of ABC Family’s popular series. A first of its kind for Wet Seal, a leading specialty retailer to young women, the initial collection will be unveiled in all Wet Seal stores nationwide and online at wetseal.com this holiday season.
Michael Riley, president, ABC Family, today announced the pick-up of two, one-hour drama pilots, ‘The Fosters,’ from executive producer Jennifer Lopez, and ‘Twisted’ (formerly ‘Socio’) from executive producer Gavin Polone. Production on both series will begin this spring for summer premieres. Additional pick-ups will be announced later this month.

Summer to date, ABC Family’s current crop of original series have made ABC Family cable TV’s #1 network in Prime in Women 18-34, and the #2 cable TV network in Females 12-34 and Female Teens.
