Fans of Disney’s animated classic Disney’s The Little Mermaid will now have another chance to see ‘Disney’s The Little Mermaid Live in Concert’ at the Hollywood Bowl on Monday, June 6. The first two nights of this concert event sold out within hours when it was announced that an all-star cast of performers would be singing the songs from the Oscar® and Grammy®-winning score as the film plays on the Bowl’s movie screen accompanied by a full, live orchestra. Tickets for the third and final concert go on sale at ticketmaster.com at 10:00am Pacific on Wednesday, April 27.

LEGO has provided us with a first look at the inaugural series of Disney and Disney/Pixar themed LEGO minifigures, which will be available at shop.LEGO.com, LEGO stores and your favorite toy stores nationwide beginning May 1, 2016. You can find individual photos of each of the minifigs as well as a couple of group shots taken on location at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World in our gallery below.
The first series, which consists of eighteen figures, includes:
- Disney classics including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck
Just ahead of Disney’s D23 Expo taking place this weekend in Anaheim, California, Disney Store has released product images and new details for its upcoming collection debuting at the convention, the ‘Good vs Evil’ Fairytale Designer Collection.
Consisting of five sets of dolls: Elsa and Hans of Frozen; Ursula and Ariel of The Little Mermaid; Snow White and the Old Hag of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs; Rapunzel and Mother Gothel of Tangled; and Captain Hook and Peter Pan of Peter Pan, the collection as a whole as an edition size of 6,000 globally. The dolls will first be available for pre-order at D23 Expo as a collection and will presumably be available individually on a release schedule to be announced later.
Commemorating its 25th anniversary, The Little Mermaid will be the fourth entry in Disney Music Emporium’s Legacy Collection and will be released on November 24, 2014 (now available for pre-order). This beautiful book-bound two disc collectible set features the award winning music from the film, never before released demos and working tapes from Howard Ashman and Alan Menken and more. Exclusively illustrated by the talented Lorelay Bove, WDR The Legacy Collection is a musical masterpiece every fan will enjoy.
According to Bricks and Blocks, the Frozen set at least is scheduled for a January 2015 release, but like the first generation of the LEGO Disney Princess sets, it’s likely that they’ll appear in some stores as early as late December. Details of the new sets are as follows:

Yesterday on Twitter, we brought casting news for the new show based on The Little Mermaid opening in 2015 at Tokyo Disney Resort. Today, the Oriental Land Company formally announced that ‘King Triton’s Concert’ will make its official debut at the Tokyo DisneySea theme park on April 24, 2015.
In the new show, King Triton hosts a musical concert with Ariel, Flounder, Sebastian and other familiar characters from the Disney film, creating a mesmerizing world under the sea with music, songs and dynamic performance, just as in the movie. Ariel will ‘swim’ above the audience to the beautiful music and will even ‘swim’ down and approach Guests in this lively and sensational musical show.
