‘Muppets… Again’ On Set Photos Feature Tina Fey, Kermit’s Alter-Ego

A Twitter user by the name of @gavinthomas2015 has shared a couple of images from the set of Disney’s Muppets… Again with several Muppet-oriented websites including Tough Pigs. It’s not known at this time whether the release of the images was done with the blessings of Walt Disney Studios, but for the time being, please enjoy.

The first image features the film’s villain and Kermit-double Constantine alongside Tina Fey as feisty prison guard Nadya.
Also sent along for the ride is this image of Gonzo in costume, seemingly taking a breather behind the camera.
Disney’s The Muppets…Again! takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine — the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit — and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Golden Globe-, Emmy- and SAG Award®-winning actress and writer Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Emmy Award winner Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon. The new film will hit the big screen March 21, 2014.

‘The Muppets… Again!’ All Four Publicity Images (Hi-Res)
Walt Disney Studios has provided us with some extremely hi-res publicity images for The Muppets… Again! which debuts in theaters nationwide on March 21, 2014. Among the images are those that appeared in People and Entertainment Weekly along with a couple of others. Like with the ‘original’ film, the group publicity still actually comes in two variants: one with director James Bobin and the other with Sweetums.

First Image: Ricky Gervais in ‘The Muppets… Again!’ Plus Synopsis
Via the official Walt Disney Studios UK Facebook page, we get what appears to be our first publicity still at the upcoming sequel The Muppets… Again! which will debut in theaters on March 21st, 2014. The still features human star Ricky Gervais alongside Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog.
The filmmaking team behind 2011’s celebrated film The Muppets reunites as Disney’s The Muppets … Again! kicked off production last week in London. The all-new global Muppets adventure welcomes Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell and Tina Fey to the mayhem, along with Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Walter and the rest of the Muppets. The film is directed by James Bobin, who was just nominated for a BAFTA for The Muppets (Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer), and produced by the Academy Award®-nominated team of David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman. With a screenplay by Bobin and Nicholas Stoller, who is also executive producer with John Scotti, The Muppets … Again! will feature music from Academy Award®-winning songwriter Bret McKenzie, who won an Oscar® for best original song for The Muppets (‘Man or Muppet’). The new film will hit the big screen March 21, 2014.

Oh No They Didn’t! Oh Yes, They Did! NBC’s ’30 Rock’ Goes to There
It was a double-header this evening on NBC’s 30 Rock (created by and starring Tina Fey). With two fresh must-see Thursday episodes, Disney managed to worm its way into both of them.
In the episode titled ‘Lee Marvin vs. Derek Jeter,’ Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan) confronts a resurgence of ‘old school’ racism. Addressing the show’s fictitious show’s team of writers, Tracy asserts they’re ‘all secretly mad ’cause we finally have a black Disney princess’ to which Jenna (Jane Krakowski) successfully counters by noting there hasn’t been a white Disney princess since 1991 and that ‘there are little blonde girls in this country who have no idea they could be beautiful.’
In the second episode of the evening, titled ‘Khonani,’ Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) beams when he boasts he’s innoventing — a new word he innovented — during a labor dispute.

Disney Consumer Products Welcomes Tiana to the Disney Princess Family in Unprecedented Ceremony
Disney Consumer Products offered an unprecedented event earlier today that had even the skies opening up and pouring tears of joy on the otherwise gloomy streets of New York City. The event, which had celebrities from television, film and theatre mingling with Disney royalty, had Princesses Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas and Mulan officially welcome Tiana from The Princess and the Frog to the Disney Princess family.
Held quite appropriately at the New York Palace luxury hotel, celebrities and their families such as Tina Fey (30 Rock, Saturday Night Live), Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Nine Dead, Melissa & Joey), Kelly Bensimon, Kelly Rutherford (Gossip Girl), Audra McDonald (Private Practice), Nigel Barker (America’s Next Top Model), Matt Walton (One Life to Live), Amy Landecker, Miss Teen USA Stormi Bree Henley with Miss USA Kristen Dalton and more strolled down the purple carpet for the event. Also in attendance from the film, which comes out on DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday were directors John Musker and Ron Clements along with voice talents Anika Noni Rose (Tiana), Jennifer Cody (Charlotte), Michael-Leon Wooley (Louis) and Jennifer Lewis (Mama Odie).
After the purple carpet was cleared and the honored guests had made their way indoors to the ballroom, a horse-drawn carriage rolled down Madison Avenue, stopped directly in front of the Palace and Princess Tiana took to the purple carpet herself, escorted by a live jazz band and dozens of her adoring fans.
The event itself began with Anika Noni Rose who addressed the gathered group of families consisting mostly of little girls dressed as Disney princesses. Rose said that the first dream she ever recalls having as a child was that she would grow up to be the voice of a Disney character and how her dream came true. She spoke of Tiana and offered her own advice to the princess’ fans: meeting Prince Charming is a great thing, but they should never lose sight of their dreams and who they are.
