ABC Family announced today the pick-up of two half-hour comedy series ‘Mystery Girls,’ starring and executive produced by Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth, and ‘Young & Hungry,’ starring Emily Osment, from executive producer Ashley Tisdale. Production will commence on both series in Los Angeles in early 2014, and both will premiere in 2014.
ABC Family will produce three new comedy pilots, ‘Mystery Girls,’ ‘Work Mom’ and ‘Young & Hungry,’ it was announced today by Michael Riley, President, ABC Family. These orders join the pick-ups announced earlier this year including the back-order greenlight of ‘The Fosters’ and ‘Twisted,’ the third season of ‘Switched at Birth’ and ‘Baby Daddy’ and the fourth season of ‘Melissa & Joey.’

ABC Family will premiere The Mistle-Tones, an all new original musical starring Tori Spelling (‘Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood’) and Tia Mowry (‘The Game’) on Sunday, December 9 at 8:00 pm ET/PT. The movie will air as part of the network’s annual ’25 Days of Christmas’ programming event.
