Courtesy of Walt Disney Studios UK, we have our first clip from the upcoming Pixar Monsters University short, ‘Party Central,’ which will play ahead of Muppets Most Wanted in theaters on March 21, 2014.
In the short, Mike and Sulley return to Monsters University for a fun-filled weekend with their Oozma Kappa fraternity brothers. The gang is throwing their first party, but no one’s showing up. Luckily for them, Mike and Sulley have come with a plan to make sure ‘Party Central’ is the most epic party the school has ever seen.
Instead of taking shots at other films, however, this particular ad pokes fun at the burgeoning marketing method of using the tweets of ‘ordinary folk,’ not actually reviewing the film, but instead just simply voicing the intent of seeing the film. All of the tweets/accounts named in the ad do actually exist (see embedded below), but they are obviously not genuine and were all generated for the sake of making the ad, embedded below.
