Vinylmation Animation Series 1 9″ Figures Available Online; Full 9″ Set Revealed

Disney Design Group’s Vinylmation Animation Series 1 went on sale today at the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. Two of the 9″ figures previously revealed by the official blog also went on sale on DisneyStore.com – the 9″/3″ combo set of Elliott the Dragon and Pete from Pete’s Dragon and Beast from Beauty and the Beast, both designed by by Monty Maldovan. The combo set is a limited edition of 1200 pieces while Beast is limited to 1000 pieces.
Also revealed via the packaging for the figures are the remaining five figures in the 9″ collection for the series. In addition to Hyacinth Hippo from Fantasia (LE 1200, also previewed on the blog) are: Genie from Aladdin (LE 1200), Bolt (LE 1000), Merlin from The Sword in the Stone (LE 1000) and Willie the Operatic Whale from Make Mine Music’s ‘The Whale Who Wanted to Sing at the Met’ (LE 1000).

Video: Imagineering Puts Finishing Touches on Disney Dream; Hi-Res Images of Exclusive Vinylmation
As the newest entry into the Disney Cruise Line fleet prepares to make her on-sea debut, Walt Disney Imagineering provides us this glimpse into providing the final touches on the interior of the ship. The lengthy video gives some great imagery of nearly-finished areas including the awe-inspiring atrium and its incredible LED-lit chandelier.
Via its official vinylmation blog, Disney Design Group also decided to reveal the vinylmation figures that will be exclusive to the Disney Dream when it makes its maiden voyage on January 26. The 9″ figure, designed by Dan Howard, is similar to those previously released for the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder. It will retail for $44.95 and is limited to an edition size of just 750 pieces. The two 3″ Admiral Donald figures will come as a boxed set (including a Vinylmation Jr figure) and were designed by Lisa Badeen. The boxed set is limited to just 1,000 pieces and retails for $24.95. Not only available to just those sailing on the maiden voyage, the ability to purchase the Vinylmation figures is restricted to a Random Selection Process (RSP).

Mad Hatter, Dreamfinder Vinylmation Combos to be Released Online December 17
Disney Design Group has announced that in addition to the Dreamfinder/Figment Vinylmation and 3″ Retro Magic Kingdom figure being released at the Walt Disney World and Disneyland resorts on December 17, they will also be available online at DisneyStore.com.
In addition, the online-exclusive 9″ Mad Hatter and 3″ Dormouse by Chris Chapman and Maria Clapsis will also be available online. The DisneyStore.com exclusive is expected to be limited to 1200 pieces.
Update #1: Despite the announcement, the vinylmations did not appear on DisneyStore.com today. However, the limited edition Disneyland Ticket Vinylmation set has.
Update #2: The Mad Hatter vinylmation is now available online.
Update #3: The Dreamfinder vinylmation is now available online as are the Park Series 5 9″ Magic Kingdom figure and the Holiday 2 9″ Birthday.

Disney Vinylmation Dreamfinder and Figment Combo to be Released December 17
Disney Design Group has announced that its widely anticipated Dreamfinder 9″ figure with a Figment 3″ accompaniment from Park Series #5 will be released on December 17 at D-Street in the Downtown Disney Districts of both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. The collectible, designed by Vinylmation artist Maria Clapsis, is limited to an edition size of 1500 and will retail for $74.95.
Also scheduled to be released on December 17 at both locations is the Park Series #5 limited edition 9″ Retro-Magic Kingdom figure by Rachel Sur which has an edition size of 800 and will retail for $44.95. The 9″ Attraction Poster figures by Alex Maher will be released at the Disneyland Resort only and will also retail for $44.95.

Disney Vinylmation Dates A-E Ticket Collection; Noah Introduces New Custom ‘TRON: Legacy’ Figures
Via its official blog, Disney Design Group has announced that Lin Shih’s Disneyland Resort A-E Ticket Vinylmation set, honoring the original ride ticketing system, will be released at D-Street in the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort on December 10. The edition will be limited to a size of 1955 sets (in honor of Disneyland’s opening year) and will retail for $99.95.
The set will also be available in a very limited quantity on DisneyStore.com, so check with Stitch Kingdom daily for its DisneyStore.com updates to get your hands on this prized set.
Following up on his incredibly well received Vinylmation projects, Disney Fine Artist Noah has announced that he will introducing a second line of 15 custom 9″ figures inspired by TRON: Legacy which will debut at the D23 event on December 3 at the TRON Pop-Up Shop at Royal-T in Culver City, CA. Following the release of the second 9″ series, Noah will introduce three series of 3″ figures. All of the figures will be exclusive to the TRON Pop-Up Shop.

Vinylmation Previews Last of Disney Store NYC Exclusives, TRON Figures Plus Holiday Release Dates
Many announcements on upcoming Vinylmation releases came via the official blog today with the first being what was promised yesterday: a look at the last of the four initial Vinylmation figures to be exclusive to the Disney Store Times Square in New York City when it opens on November 9.
The 9″ ‘Graffiti’ by artist Gerald Mendez will be a limited edition of 1540 pieces (1540 because that’s the street number of the store on Broadway) and will even be individually numbered. It will retail for $49.95 and have a purchase limit of two per guest per day (assuming it even makes it to day two).
That figure will join the already announced 3″ Minnie Mouse as the Statue of Liberty and the 9″ ‘Hey, Taxi!‘ as well as another 9″ figure, ‘New York, New York’ by Jim Valeri which pays homage to the boros, neighborhoods and landmarks of the greatest city in the world. It will retail for $44.95 and will also have a purchase limit of two per guest per day.
Next up is a sneak peek at the Vinylmation figures to commemorate the release of TRON: Legacy. Remember that in addition to these figures, Disney Fine Artist Noah will be releasing just a handful of custom hand-painted figures also inspired by the film at both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts (at the latter of which he’ll be making an personal appearance) on November 21.
Lastly, the blog announced release information for the 3″ Walt Disney World Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Osbourne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights figures (photos can be seen on the official blog). Both will retail for $16.95 each. The MVMCP one will be released November 8 in the Magic Kingdom at the Emporium, Mickey’s Star Traders, Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe and the Frontierland Trading Post. The Osbourne Family Lights figure will also be released on November 8 but at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Mickey’s Of Hollywood, Youse Guys Moichendise, Beverly Sunset, Sorcerer’s Hat Shop, Art of Disney Gallery, Tower of Terror Shop and the Stage One Company Store.
Both figures will also be released at the Disneyland Resort on November 12 at D-Street in the Downtown Disney District.

Man is in the Grid with New TRON-Bambi Mash-up Adult Toy Collectible from MINDstyle
Mickey Mouse isn’t the only Disney friend to enter the TRON grid anymore thanks to this first look at the sculpt of an upcoming MINDstyle adult toy collectible (ATC). Unfortunately the vinyl figure will be exclusive to the Man Is In The Forest concept store in Shanghai. The shop actually got its name from the film Bambi, although it’s said that the line itself was also used by Disney animators to spread word that Walt Disney was present at the Studios.

Disney Vinylmation Previews Another Disney Store NYC Exclusive; Dates One-of-a-Kind Halloween Figure
Just a day after previewing one of the first Disney Vinylmation figures to be exclusive to the Disney Store Times Square store in Manhattan when it opens on November 9, Disney Design Group returns with a look at this 9″ ‘Hey Taxi!’ figure by Jim Valeri. The figure, which will also be exclusive to the Times Square store, promises to have an equally intriguing back, according to the official blog. It will retail for $44.95 and there will be a purchase limit of two per guest per day.
Disney Design Group also has announced that the Halloween-inspired one-of-a-kind pumpkin scarecrow Vinylmation by artist Adrienne Draude (pictured below) will be released at D Street in the West Side district of Walt Disney World’s Downtown Disney on October 29. It retails for $1200.

Disney Vinylmation Previews First Disney Store Times Square Exclusive
Minnie Mouse has high apple pie in the eye hopes as the Disney Design Group reveals its first Disney Store Times Square exclusive via its official blog. It will retail for $12.95 and will be limited to a purchase of five per guest per day.
According to the article, the Statue is actually the first of multiple exclusives to the Disney Store located New York City which is slated to officially open on November 9. The largest Disney Store in North America, the Times Square location will contain an entire floor dedicated to merchandise exclusive to its location, presumably including these Vinylmation figures.

First Look: ‘TRON: Legacy’ Vinylmation Collectibles by Noah
Disney Fine Artist Noah brings us this first look at his limited edition Disney Vinylmation inspired by Disney’s TRON: Legacy. The figures will be released at D Street on November 21 in the Downtown Disney Districts of both Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort. There will be 24 figures available for purchase at Disneyland, where Noah will be making a personal appearance and signing, and 12 at Walt Disney World. Each is custom painted and comes complete with a 22″ tall display case. Each figure will retail for $595. Other TRON-inspired merchandise by Noah such as tees and art will also be available to collect.
