Vinylmation has officially confirmed what we first told you yesterday on Twitter, that select Disney Store locations (including the new Imagination Park store in Montebello, CA) will begin carrying vinylmation figures which included the previously unreleased Toy Story (including many figures from Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 3) and Have a Laugh series pictured to the left.
Plane Crazy Mickey (pictured) by Thomas Scott will come in a combo pack along with a random Park Series #4 figure.

Vinylmation Jr Series #2 is being released this morning at the Disneyland Resort (release date for Walt Disney World and online unknown) and the official Vinylmation blog is offering a look at the entire line including the chasers.
The series by Disney Design Group artist Thomas Scott features 1 1/2″ tall figures based on Bambi, Buzz Lightyear, Cheshire Cat, Cinderella, Donald Duck, Figment, Genie, Goofy, Minnie Mouse, Nemo, Peter Pan, Pluto, Pooh, Snow White, Tigger, Woody and two chasers.
The official Disney Vinylmation blog today features a first look at the 9″ and 3″ versions of the glow-in-the-dark Vinylmation ‘Create Your Own’ blank figures which it will be offering as a limited release at the Disneyland Resort later this week. No release dates have been set for the Walt Disney World Resort or DisneyStore.com yet.
The blog also lists a Disneyland Resort debut of June 18 for Vinylmation, Jr. Series #2.
Today we are blessed with first looks of several figures from the Alien Invasion project by MINDstyle. Featuring contributions from 30 Disney and Pixar artists, each have put their own individual spin on a blank figure in the shape of the LGM from the Toy Story films.
The exhibition tour kicks off June 15 at Hong Kong’s Times Square. For a preview of other figures from the exhibit, check out MINDstyle’s official blog.
We also get our first look at MINDstyle’s limited edition art toy collectible (ATC) of the main character from John Lasseter’s original short, Tin Toy. The figure will first be released at San Diego Comic Con. No word on edition size or whether it will be an exclusive to the SDCC.
No, there is nothing wrong with your monitor, these new Vinylmation figures from the Disney Design Group really do have alien-like extensions protruding from their heads. They are in fact the members of the limited edition Vinylmation Condiments series and we’re getting our first look at them courtesy of the official Vinylmation blog. Designed to represent the typical squeeze bottles for your favorite condiments, the colors are dead-on. In fact, we believe the honey bear Vinylmation will probably be worth the price of admission alone.
MINDStyle revealed on its blog earlier today that the first stop on the Alien Invasion tour will take place in Hong Kong this summer. In addition to acknowledging the inclusion of artist Secret Base, the new announcement notes that the re-imagings of the Toy Story alien will include offerings from Disney and Pixar artists.

It’s hard to believe that Disney pin trading started just over a decade ago and has since gone on to become a worldwide phenomenon with casual and serious collectors amassing personal collections to keep and trade.
