Disney’s Vinylmation has announced that it will present a Vinylmation Showcase inside the World Showplace at Walt Disney World’s Epcot on Sunday, August 29 from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm as part of the Trade City, USA Disney pin event.
On Saturday, April 3, 2010, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Passholders will have an opportunity to be among the first guests to experience the opening of D Street, the newest merchandise location where urban inspired product “intersects” with a Disney creative edge. Passholders will also be among the first to catch a glimpse of the new Create Your Own Vinylmation table, have the opportunity to participate in Vinylmation trading activities (trade your own Vinylmation or ones you purchase) and see the Disney Channel Star Celebrity Signed Vinylmation on display at D Street!
From the upcoming Have A Laugh series which highlights classic Disney short, the official Vinylmation blog presents this artwork of the seal in the bathtub from the 1948 classic Mickey and the Seal.

Expected to be released this month is the adorable set of Kingdom Hearts avatar mascot straps. The Play Arts #2 King Mickey rules the collection, however, expected to be released in July along with the gift of joy provided by Santa Sora. Following the success of its Experiment 626 Project in which artists put their unique spins on Stitch-shaped vinyl figures and the recently announced mini-Stitch figures, MINDstyle announced today that it will be releasing a series of figures based on the alien from Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story series. According to the graphic, we can expect the invasion to begin in early summer.
Good news for Disney Vinylmation fans who sometimes get turned off by the blind pack shopping experience. Vinylmation has announced they will soon be releasing an open edition of 3″ Vinylmations in a windowed box titled ‘Big Eyes’ featuring classic Disney characters. As you can see by the photo courtesy of the official blog, the artwork featured on the Mickey Mouse shaped figures is just that.
Something tells us that the Marie from Aristocats as featured in the image will end up being one of the more popular figures.
MINDstyle has announced Series #1 of Stitch Mini-Figure vinyl collectibles. Sharing a lot in common with the Mickey Mouse-shaped Vinylmations from the Disney Design Group, the creator of the Experiment 626 project has transformed the mini vinyl Stitch figures into some of the most beloved Disney characters of all time.
At 3″, each series will consist of 10 figures sold for $9.95 each in a blind pack plus a chaser and a super-chaser. Like Vinylmation, trays of 24 will be available for sale which includes two complete sets of 10 plus the chaser and super-chaser.

Via the official blog, Disney Theme Park Merchandising has announced that going forward, guests will be limited to purchasing two (2) of any particular Vinylmation designated as a limited edition. This affects only limited edition releases, not limited release or other editions.
