As we announced yesterday, Disney Interactive today released ‘Maleficent Free Fall’ for Apple iOS and Android devices (now available through the App Store and Google Play respectively), the follow-up to its highly successful (and addictive) ‘Frozen Free Fall.’ So how does the new game stack up versus its predecessor? After about an hour and several levels of play, here’s my take:
Disney Publishing Worldwide today released Star Wars Journeys: The Phantom Menace for most current Apple iOS devices. The first of a series of planned apps, each associated with a difference episode in the Star Wars saga, ‘Phantom Menace’ the all-inclusive app retails for $6.99 on the App Store. Disney Publishing Worldwide was kind enough to share the app with us prior to its release in order to bring you the following unbiased review.
Disney Interactive has provided us with screenshots, character development art, power disc information and more for its upcoming fall release of ‘Disney Infinity Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition)’ which you can find in their respective galleries below.

As a follow-up to the successful release of the ‘DuckTales: Remastered‘ video game for most consoles, Capcom and Walt Disney Records will be releasing a full digital download soundtrack on April 29, 2014, according to a new listing on Amazon.
Clocking in at a whopping 47 tracks and a time of nearly 90 minutes in length, the extensive game soundtrack includes both original and 8-bit versions of its music, composed by Jake Kaufman.
The full track list is as follows:
Confirming earlier reports by Stitch Kingdom which included what appeared to be ‘Disney Infinity’ concept art for a Captain America edition to the popular Disney cross-over console game, Marvel has just released a teaser for ‘Disney Infinity 2.0’ titled ‘Get Ready to Assemble’ which features a cameo appearance by none-other than Captain America’s Shield alongside existing Disney and Pixar characters currently available in the game’s first iteration.
More information as it develops.
Nintendo of America and Disney Interactive have announced that they will be holding a launch event for ‘Disney Magical World‘ for the Nintendo 3DS at Nintendo’s Nintendo World in New York City’s Rockefeller Center. The event, which will feature ‘Dog with a Blog’ star G Hannelius, will take place on Saturday, April 12 from 12 pm – 3 pm.
For the event, the popular destination for Nintendo fans will be transformed into a Disney paradise and include festivities such as the ability to play the new game, a Disney themed photo booth, Disney sketch artists, a giant AR card that players can scan in to download an outfit for the game and access to the Disney Cafe for cupcakes and beverages (while supplies last).
It’s deceptively simple. It’s deceptively hard. And it’s blatantly addictive. It is ‘Lost Light,’ the newest mobile app game from Disney Interactive and Creature Feep, the studio behind ‘Where’s My Water?’ and other original properties for Disney, now available for Apple iOS and Android devices.
The third and final wave of power discs for the first generation of ‘Disney Infinity’ will be released on April 1, 2014, the same day that the ‘Phineas & Ferb’ Toybox Set is scheduled to be released. This news comes via a new listing for the blind packs on DisneyStore.com.
The third series will consist of just fifteen discs rather than the usual twenty as five of the 10 discs sold by Toys ‘R’ Us will in fact remain exclusive to them. The discs are expected to include: Mickey’s Sorcerer Hat, Violet’s Force Field, Rapunzel’s Healing, Chernabog’s Power, Wall-E’s Fire Extinguisher, Toy Story Mania Blaster, Dragon Firework Cannon, Tantor, Phillipe, Angus, Dr. Calico’s Helicopter, Cruella De Vil’s Car, Wall-E’s Collection, Buy n Large Atmosphere and Disney Parks Parking Lot Tram.
Disney Interactive has issued a notice that it is seeking males and females of 18 years of age and older to participate in a playtest for a new mobile game currently being developed. Because of the game’s nature, the opportunity is offered to anyone who is deemed eligible regardless of geographic location. All that is needed to be considered is an eligible mobile device and a commitment to play at least 30 minutes between the dates of January 21 and February 11.
As an incentive, Disney will be providing each selected participant with a $20 Visa gift card upon completion of the playtest.
Earlier today, Nintendo America announced its initial plans for its Nintendo 3DS portable gaming platform for 2014. Among the titles announced is ‘Disney Magical World’ which is slated to be available both in-store as well as through the Nintendo eShop beginning April 11.
According to Nintendo, ‘Disney Magical World’ is a new game featuring dozens of Disney characters in a variety of Disney-themed worlds. Players can customize their characters with hundreds of Disney-themed outfits and accessories, all while managing a café, planting crops and collecting Disney character cards. Players help different characters solve problems or find missing items.
