Vinylmation Artist Signing Event at Walt Disney World, January 29

On January 29, there will be a special signing opportunity to meet with Vinylmation artists who have made recent contributions to the collections. Scheduled to appear are Dan Howard (Urban #3), Maria Clapsis (Urban #3, Wall*E/Eve set)  and Randy Noble (Cinderella 60th Anniversary). The event takes place from 5 pm – 7 pm at the Art of Disney at the Downtown Disney Marketplace.

Wall*E/Eve LE Vinylmation Set to be Released January 22; Cinderella Vinylmation January 15

Some more news from the official Vinylmation blog which first reports that the Cinderella 60th anniversary special edition vinylmation which we told you about here will be released at both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts on January 15.

Then, a week later, on January 22, the collector set featuring Disney/Pixar’s Wall*E and Eve will be released at both resorts on January 22 and is limited to an edition size of 500. The blog promises to have additional information as well as artwork of the box they are both packaged in soon.

Vinylmations Commemorating Cinderella, Space Mountain to be Released in January

Also courtesy of the official Vinylmation blog comes news of these anticipated releases from Disney Design Group artist Randy Noble.

Available in late January at both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts, Vinylmation presents a 3″ figure commemorating the 60th anniversary of Disney’s Cinderella and a 9″ figure commemorating the 35th anniversary of the legendary Space Mountain.

First Look: Walt Disney World 2010 Marathon Vinylmations to be Released Jan 8

On its official blog, Disney Vinylmation has introduced three new Vinylmation special edition figures that will be released at the Walt Disney World resort on January 8 in honor of upcoming 2010 marathon events, each designed by Disney Design Group artist Maria Clapsis.

Pictured from top to bottom are the 3″ Walt Disney World 2010 Marathon figure, the 3″ Walt Disney World 2010 Half Marathon Figure and the 9″ Walt Disney World Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge 2010 figure.

Guests do not need to be marathon participants in order to purchase the special edition Vinylmation figures which will be available at Disney’s Wide World of Sports.

The vinylmations are available as individuals ($9.95 each in a blind pack) or as two complete sets (including chaser) in the form of a tray ($238.80, all blind packs).

Vinylmation Sets Release Timeline for New Park, Sports and ‘Oh Mickey!’ Series

With the latest round of Urban and the debut of Cutesters still managing to find their way into the stream of collectibility, Vinylmation today updated its official site, setting expectations for Park Series #4, Sports Series #1 and the ‘Oh Mickey!’ Series to debut in spring 2010 along with Muppet Series #1.

Debut of Vinylmation Cutesters Delayed Again; Colored Blanks Released Thursday

Create Your Own Colored Vinylmation BlanksThe official Vinylmation blog made the announcement today that the release of the Cutesters series, originally slated for today at the Disneyland Resort and then postponed until Thursday has been delayed yet again to an unknown date, although some point in December is still expected.

Being released on Thursday, December 17 however will be the 3″ and 9″ colored DIY Vinylmation blanks that we first introduced you to at the D23 Expo back in September. For artists who prefer a base color other than white, they now have pink, purple, red, black and yellow to choose from in addition to the original white.

Featured in the atrium is a series of banners designed by Disney Design Group artists Eric Caszatt and Thomas Scott that provide an overview of the ‘history’ of the Disney Vinylmation including some designs that have yet to be released.

The blog also promises more photos from the new shop and home to artist Noah as we get closer to opening time.

First Look: Vinylmation Apparel

Vinylmation ApparelEarlier this week, we mentioned that in addition to releasing the Cutesters and Urban 3 series of Vinylmation collectibles on December 15 at the Disneyland Resort, that Vinylmation Apparel will also be introduced to the world (er.. Land). Now we get our first look at what just some of the Vinylmation-inspired line of clothing looks like courtesy of the official blog.
