The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences today announced that 10 animated short films — out of a qualifying total of 56 — will advance in the voting process for the 86th Academy Awards. Among the shortlisted shorts are Get A Horse! from Walt Disney Animation Studios, which will play ahead of Frozen when it debuts in theaters on November 27, 2013.
Branded as the Disney Frozen ‘Final Shooting Draft’ written by Jennifer Lee and dated September 23, 2013, Walt Disney Studios has now made the script for Frozen available for download, complete with lyrics by Robert and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.
Although not publicly linked to on the Studio’s ‘For Your Consideration’ awards website (which is still under development for this year), it can be downloaded via its direct link. The script is intended to make voting members of the various bodies aware of it for as consideration for best screenplay awards.
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen kicks off a cross-country tour this week with Ore-Ida®, serving free treats to Frozen fans from Philadelphia to Los Angeles. Featuring Ore-Ida hash browns and fries, activities, crafts, themed lunch boxes and other giveaways, the tour will be covered as it happens on the Frozen Fun Tour microsite, which will share pictures of the fun to friends and family nationwide. Directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, who also wrote the screenplay, and produced by Peter Del Vecho Frozen hits theaters in 3D on Nov. 27, 2013.

The clip — titled ‘The Party is Over’ — features a rare encounter between Anna and her estranged sister, Elsa, on the day of Elsa’s coronation. But when emotions get the best of Elsa, her closely guarded secret is unleashed.

The clip — titled ‘No Heat Experience — features Anna, Kristoff and Sven on their quest to find Elsa as they encounter a warm hug-loving snowman, Olaf. Those who attended Disney D23 Expo earlier this year should recognize this clip which leads into Olaf’s anthem ‘In Summer.’
Following the announcement (and release) of Demi Lovato’s recording of ‘Let It Go’ for the original motion picture soundtrack of Disney’s Frozen from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Disney has published the full track list via iTunes which has now made it available for pre-order alongside other e-tailers such as Amazon.com (who is listing it in CD format). Lovato’s single has also been released as of today and is available digitally from both iTunes and Amazon. The music video for ‘Let it Go’ as performed by Lovato will debut exclusively on ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ on November 1.
