Three thousand years ago, the greatest sailors in the world voyaged across the vast South Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped — and no one today knows why.

Several months ago, we revealed on Twitter that there would be a new phase for Hiro Hamada, Baymax, Gogo Tomago, Honey Lemon, Wasabi and Fred from the universe of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Big Hero 6. Although we didn’t know much about the new project, our source did advise us that it would surface for the holiday season this year and would involve a new look for the team. The source also advised us that the new project would not be based in video, but teased that it will present the team in a whole new form. Earlier today, Disney D23 made announcements on behalf of Walt Disney Animation Studios for their panels and presentations at the upcoming D23 Expo. Included with the release were several images for upcoming projects, including one for Moana (November 23, 2016). What we unfortunately didn’t realize at first was that the accompanying artwork — while similar to the original concept art released for the film — has been updated with much finer detail with the lead characters, who have been repositioned on the boat. In addition, the artwork displayed on the sails has also been updated. An image showing comparisons between the two is included below.

Zootopia is a city like no other. Comprised of habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it’s a melting pot where animals from every environment live together — a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when optimistic Officer Judy Hopps arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde, to solve the mystery. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia, a comedy-adventure directed by Byron Howard and Rich Moore and co-directed by Jared Bush, opens in theaters on March 4, 2016.
