Enter to Win a Copy of ‘The Princess and the Frog’ on Blu-ray and DVD Combo Pack
We are partnering up with Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment to offer our readers the opportunity to win their very own copy of The Princess and the Frog on Disney blu-ray and DVD combo pack including a DisneyFile digital copy, available to own March 16.
Two lucky winners chosen at random will be able to bring this new Disney animated classic featuring the first Disney princess in ten years and an Oscar-nominated soundtrack by Randy Newman.
Magic, music and romance are waiting around every corner of the legendary Big Easy as Disney’s newest princess sets out on an exciting adventure through a magical new world. Tiana (voiced by Anika Noni Rose) is a beautiful and hardworking young woman determined to fulfil her father’s dream of owning an elegant New Orleans supper club. When Naveen (Bruno Campos), a handsome prince arrives in town looking for romance, the evil Dr. Facilier (Keith David) hatches a nefarious plot and turns Naveen into a frog. A kiss from Tiana should return him to his true form, but in a hilarious twist on the classic story, she is instead transformed into a frog herself! The pair must travel into the heart of the mysterious Louisiana bayou with only a trumpet-playing alligator and a love-struck firefly as guides to find the priestess who can reverse the curse in order to find their “happily ever after.”

Disney’s First Marvel-ous Move Since Acquisiton of Comics Powerhouse
Disney has made its first move since it acquired Marvel Entertainment this past year and it could prove to be a promising one for the company. But before we fly to conclusions, sorry, legions of Ant-Man fans, it’s not about him. Not yet.
In stark contrast to bringing to life some of the lesser characters, Disney’s first Marvel gesture relies on an established character who will literally be box office gold (and red) for Paramount when it releases Marvel’s Iron Man 2 this summer.
Disney has officially registered IronManOnDVD.com. No telling what Disney’s plans with the domain name are, but please allow us to speculate:
3. Disney could simply be doing nothing with it and just flexing their internet muscles
2. There could be an upcoming new animated straight-to-dvd film to coincide with the theatrical release as its been a common practice with comic films as of late
1. Disney could be planning to finally release Iron Man, the animated series that first debuted as part of The Marvel Action Hour in 1994-1996, on DVD. The series was previously released by Disney in Europe (DVD Region 2) in 2007 but they have never released it in North America, but have run the series on Disney XD.

Disney Home Entertainment to Release Its First Hindi Film, ‘Like Stars on Earth,’ January 12
An eight-year-old misfit with his head in the stars learns that being different can also mean being special in the emotional and entertaining Like Stars on Earth, coming to 3-Disc DVD/CD set January 12, 2010 from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. Disney’s first-ever Hindi-language release, Like Stars on Earth includes seven infectious Bollywood dance numbers, vividly imagined animated interludes and a brand new English-language track for a cross-cultural celebration of creativity and individuality. “A little twinkling star of a movie” according to BBC Movie Reviews, Like Stars on Earth is a sparkling example of why Indian cinema has rapidly become the most popular film import to the U.S.
Originally brought to a worldwide theatrical audience by UTV Motion Pictures, and produced, directed and starring Aamir Khan, one of India’s most acclaimed filmmakers (Lagaan, 2002 Academy Award® nominee, Best Foreign Language Film, India), Like Stars on Earth also features young newcomer Darsheel Safary in an astonishingly nuanced performance that earned him a 2007 nomination for Best Actor in India’s prestigious Filmfare Awards. Like Stars on Earth was one of India’s top grossing theatrical films of 2007.
In this touching and inspiring film, eight-year-old Mumbai native Ishaan Awasthi (Darsheel Safary) lives in a world where letters dance exuberantly with the brilliant colors, lively animals and joyfully soaring kites of his fantastical imagination. Struggling to read and write and unable to deliver the good grades and disciplined behavior expected by his parents and teachers, Ishaan is shipped off to a boarding school to straighten out. Almost 200 miles from home and suffering from homesickness, Ishaan alone is unmoved when a new art teacher (Aamir Khan) energizes the classroom by asking students to think, dream and imagine, instead of merely following the rules. Determined to draw the introverted child out, the teacher sets about helping Ishaan find the wondrous power of creativity that lies within him.
Like Stars on Earth is rated PG for for thematic material, brief violence and language and has a suggested retail price of $29.99 (U.S.)
