The royally opulent gown is inspired by costume designer Sandy Powell’s hand painted dress that Ella (Lily James) wears in the film, but re-imagined as an embroidered gown for brides looking to channel their inner princess. The lavishly embroidered fairy-tale dress features a flattering basque waist and full skirt made of organza, satin and tulle. The dress is available in three color options: Light Gold with multi-colored flowers, All White or All Ivory. It is also available strapless or with sheer organza long-fitted sleeves as in the film, starting at $1899 suggested retail. It will be available beginning mid-April at Alfred Angelo stores in the U.S. and specialty retailers worldwide.

Accompanied by a performance of ‘Let It Go’ by 12 year old YouTube sensation and One Voice Children’s Choir member Lexi Walker, the Elsa bridal gown by Alfred Angelo made its worldwide debut at an intimate runway show yesterday in New York — and yes, it even snowed. We were fortunate enough to have been invited to the event and you can find our exclusive photos and video below.
Alfred Angelo, America’s oldest and largest family-owned and operated bridal company, has unveiled the first gown from its 2014 Disney Fairy Tale Weddings collection inspired by Disney Princess Ariel. The gown’s debut is timed with the release of The Little Mermaid Diamond Edition on Blu-ray™ and celebrates Ariel’s determined, adventurous and spirited personality.
The new Ariel-inspired gown can be seen on the cover of the November/December issue of Bridal Guide magazine and features a sweetheart neckline and bodice made of hand-tacked, draped organza over satin. The skirt is designed with vertical rows of flowing organza ruffles edged with silk ribbon and metallic embroidery. To add a splash of glamor and sparkle, the gown is finished with an organza belt sewn with crystals and silver beading.
