‘Wreck-It Ralph’ Seven Super Hi-Res Stills Feature Brand New Characters, Arcade Classics
Technically, we have just three new stills from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Wreck-It Ralph, but to avoid confusion with yesterday’s stills, we have lumped them all together for your digital enjoyment. The new stills feature scenes from the teaser trailer released today, including the Bad-Anon segment featuring cameos by Bowser, Doctor Eggman, Zangief, M. Bison, Pac-Man’s Clyde and others; Ralph engaged in activity during his visit to ‘Hero’s Duty;’ and a look at the home of Venellope von Schweetz, the go-kart racer title ‘Sugar Rush,’ in which we meet fellow racers Jubileena Bing-Bing, Swizzle ‘The Swizz’ Malarkey and Taffyta Muttonfudge.
All of the stills are in super hi-res. If you’ve seen them extra large somewhere, they probably originated here. Click on any of the thumbnails to see the larger versions, then click on the resize icon to view them at full 10MP resolution.
Walt Disney Animation Studios and Emmy®-winning director Rich Moore take moviegoers on a hilarious, arcade-game-hopping journey in Wreck-It Ralph. Ralph is tired of being overshadowed by Fix-It Felix (voice of Jack McBrayer), the ‘good guy’ star of their game who always gets to save the day. But after decades doing the same thing and seeing all the glory go to Felix, Ralph decides he’s tired of playing the role of a bad guy. He takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on a game-hopping journey across the arcade through every generation of video
games to prove he’s got what it takes to be a hero.

WATCH: ‘Wreck-It Ralph’ Freakishly Awesome Teaser Trailer
Although it actually previewed in theaters on Memorial Day weekend alongside the return of Disney/Pixar favorites, the long awaited teaser trailer for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Wreck-It Ralph is now officially released online (after a brief exclusive on Xbox) and will be returning to movie theaters on Friday.
With support from Flo Rida’s ‘Good Feeling’ and the classic ‘Once in a Lifetime’ by Talking Heads, the trailer takes a glimpse at the life of Wreck-It Ralph (voiced by John C. Reilly), the villain of the popular video game ‘Fix-It Felix.’ When not working inside the game, destroying things, Ralph begins to realize he no longer wants to be the villain, voicing his concerns at the Bad-Anon support group which features cameos by Bowser, Zangief and Pac-Man’s Clyde, who takes the news in a way that only he can.
We’re also introduced to other characters such as the video game’s hero, Fix-It Felix (voiced by Jack McBrayer) who’s bi-lingual, speaking the exotic Q-Bertese; Sergeant Calhoun (voiced by Jane Lynch); and Vanellope von Schweetz (voiced by Sarah Silverman) who proves to be more than a handful (albeit a freakishly big one).
The trailer comes just a day after we got our first look from the film, which you can see in our hi-res gallery shared below. You can click on any of the thumbnails to see the larger version and then click on the resize arrow to see the images at their original 10MP size.

‘Wreck-It Ralph’ First Images in Hi-Res Feature Cameos by Q-Bert, Street Fighter
In honor of E3 and the online debut of the first teaser trailer, Walt Disney Animation Studios has begun sharing stills from its upcoming release of Wreck-It Ralph, coming to theaters on November 2, 2012.
While most of the stills shared online have been smaller in size, thanks to Walt Disney Studios France and animatie.blog.nl, we’ve been able to obtain this hi-res still below which features Wreck-It Ralph (voiced by John C. Reilly) in what appears to be a large space a la New York’s Grand Central Terminal (called Game Central Station in the film, also described as an industrial power strip) which allows video game characters to ‘commute’ to their respective games. The still also features the characters from Q-Bert who have apparently fell on hard times as well as what appears to be Chun-Li and Zangief from the Street Fighter series. You can click on the image below to see it in its larger form and click the resize arrow to view it at its original resolution.
We’ve now added additional stills to our gallery below. The new stills feature Vanellope von Schweetz (voiced by Sarah Silverman) and Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Jane Lynch):

‘Paperman’ New ‘Paperclips’ Featurette, ‘The Look’
Walt Disney Animation Studios has released the second of its webseries ‘Paperclips’ which takes an intimate look at the making of its newest short, the revolutionary Paperman.
In the new segment, titled ‘The Look,’ director John Kahrs goes into the details on how he wanted to approach the appearance of the film and why he decided to locate it in 1950s-ish Manhattan.
In addition, there are several new images shared within the featurette, although not having seen the film myself, it’s difficult to be able to identify which images — if any — are from the film and which are considered concept art as some are in a very different style from the colorscript images already released.

Using a minimalist black-and-white style, the short follows the story of a lonely young man in mid-century New York City, whose destiny takes an unexpected turn after a chance meeting with a beautiful woman on his morning commute. Convinced the girl of his dreams is gone forever, he gets a second chance when he spots her in a skyscraper window across the avenue from his office. With only his heart, imagination and a stack of papers to get her attention, his efforts are no match for what the fates have in store for him.
Paperman opens later this month at the Annecy Film Festival and the LA Film Festival and will continue to make the film festival circuit until it premieres ahead of Wreck-It Ralph in November.

‘Paperman’ Hi-Res Concept Art and First Image
Though all of these images have already been released on the short’s official Facebook page, Walt Disney Animation Studios have provided us with hi-res versions of concept art from its upcoming short, Paperman. Although all descriptions for the art state that they’re concept art, going by filenames, three of the images are in fact from the color script for the film while one is titled ‘first look,’ and at full resolution, definitely appears as if it may be an actual still from short.
Introducing a groundbreaking technique that seamlessly merges computer-generated and hand-drawn animation techniques, first-time director John Kahrs takes the art of animation in a bold new direction with Paperman. Using a minimalist black-and-white style, the short follows the story of a lonely young man in mid-century New York City, whose destiny takes an unexpected turn after a chance meeting with a beautiful woman on his morning commute. Created by a small, innovative team working at Walt Disney Animation Studios, Paperman pushes the animation medium in an exciting new direction.

‘Paperman’ Unfolds Behind-the-Scenes Web Series, ‘Paperclips’
Walt Disney Animation Studios has begun a new web series titled ‘Paperclips,’ which takes a look at the making of its new short, Paperman, which has been celebrated as revolutionizing animation, even well ahead of its world debut at Annecy.
In the first webisode, titled ‘The Idea,’ director John Kahrs talks about the seed of the idea for the film, based on his own experiences as a commuter in New York City. Recalling ‘crossing paths with people’ at Grand Central Terminal, Kahrs adds, ‘you feel like there’s some connection there… then that person’s gone forever, that connection’s broken… I would always kind of wonder who that person would be, what they were like… I did kind of wonder how would people that had lost that connection — if they ever met, or how would the fates conspire to maybe bring those people back together.’
The short, which will play before Wreck-It Ralph, follows the story of a lonely young man in mid-century New York City, whose destiny takes an unexpected turn after a chance meeting with a beautiful woman on his morning commute. Convinced the girl of his dreams is gone forever, he gets a second chance when he spots her in a skyscraper window across the avenue from his office. With only his heart, imagination and a stack of papers to get her attention, his efforts are no match for what the fates have in store for him.

‘Wreck It Ralph’ Hi-Res Concept Art – First Look at Gaming Worlds
Today we get our first official look at Wreck-It-Ralph from Walt Disney Animation Studios which tells the story of the title character, an old 8-bit arcade game villain, who wishes for nothing more than to be recognized for the hero he believes himself to be. Ralph attempts to find solace in a support group for misunderstood gaming villains where they speak the mantra ‘I am bad and that’s good. I’ll never be good and that’s not bad.’
The concept art first came to us from Mexican site CinePremiere which exclusively released it. The images feature: Ralph on his pile of rocks that he calls home as he looks longingly at the home of the game’s hero Fix-It Felix; a ‘screengrab’ from one the games Ralph finds himself in, a first person shooter called ‘Hero’s Duty;’ and the candy-filled world of ‘Sugar Rush.’ Click on each of the images to expand it to its larger size. If the resize icon is available, you can click it to zoom to the image’s full size.
