GLENDALE, Calif. — Disney today unveiled all new tween fashion lines inspired by Disney Channel smash hits JONAS and the Emmy-nominated Wizards of Waverly Place with the launch of a virtual fashion show video on the official Disney Consumer Products YouTube channel, Disney Living. With fashion, accessories, footwear, and more hitting the runway for an audience of ecstatic tweens, this unique video is the first to take Disney-inspired fashions directly to the online tween community. Tween models wearing the latest back-to-school looks rocked the runway as they showed off the hottest styles hitting retailers in July including JC Penney, Kmart, Sears, Walmart, Target and DisneyStore.com.
The red carpet event in Los Angeles was attended by “JONAS’” Nicole Anderson; “Wizards of Waverly Place’s” Maria Canals-Barrera; “Sonny With A Chance’s” Tiffany Thornton, Brandon Mychal Smith, Doug Brochu, Allisyn Ashley Arm; “Princess Protection Program’s” Samantha Droke; “Zeke and Luther’s” Daniel Curtis Lee and Ryan Newman; “Camp Rock’s” Anna Maria Perez de Tagle; “The Game Plan’s” Madison Pettis and hosts Jennifer Stone (“Wizards of Waverly Place”) and Chelsea Staub (“JONAS”). In addition to never-before-seen footage of the runway show, the video also features red carpet interviews and an exclusive interview with Selena Gomez (“Wizards of Waverly Place”) sharing some of her personal fashion ideas.

‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ Soundtrack Features Selena Gomez, Honor Society, KSM, Mitchel Musso and More!
BURBANK, Calif. — There’s magic in the air as Walt Disney Records is set to release the new CD, Wizards of Waverly Place. Inspired by the Emmy-nominated hit Disney Channel series starring Selena Gomez, as well as the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie of the same name, the Wizards of Waverly Place album features brand new songs and interpretations of classic tracks from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s, each one about magic. The CD arrives in stores August 4, while “Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie” premieres on Disney Channel August 28.
With the show recently ranked as the No. 1 TV series for kids, anticipation for the “Wizards of Waverly Place” film and soundtrack is running high. The CD includes several new songs performed by series star Selena Gomez, including “Disappear,” the rock ballad “Magical,” the show’s theme song “Everything is Not as it Seems” and a new version of Pilot’s 1975 Top 10 Hit “Magic.” The CD features exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews with Selena, plus her all-new music video.

‘Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana’ Smashes Ratings Records as Disney Channel Dominated with 9.3 Million Viewers
Making it the number one network from 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm last night, the Disney Channel’s crossover event between Wizards of Waverly Place, The Suite Life on Deck and Hannah Montana dominated with a whopping 9.3 million total viewers in 5.8 million households. Disney Channel defeated second-place CBS by over 4 million viewers.
The show became the number one scripted telecast in 2009 in all television in total key demographics of Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 and the number one scripted telecast on cable with total viewers. Only the Super Bowl surpassed the number of Kids 6-11 watching the event in 2009 across [i]all[/i] television. The same records were previously held by the Disney Channel Original Movie, the Princess Protection Program which debuted last month.
Overall, it represents the highest viewership for the Disney Channel during that time period in almost two years when High School Musical 2 premiered.

Inspired by the hit Disney Channel series, “Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie” follows Alex, Justin and Max Russo as they accompany their parents on a Caribbean vacation where Alex’s inadvertent magic spell makes it so that her parents have never met. When they learn the only thing that will reverse the spell is the magical Stone of Dreams, Justin and Alex embark on a quest through the jungle to find it, and as Max plays matchmaker for his parents at the resort, time is running out to save their family. The movie was written by Dan Berendsen (“Walt Disney Studios’ “Hannah Montana The Movie;” Disney Channel’s “The Cheetah Girls One World”) and produced by Kevin Lafferty (“Camp Rock”). The costume designer is Mona May (“Enchanted,” “Clueless”). “Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie” was directed by Lev L. Spiro (Disney Channel’s “Minutemen”) and executive-produced by Peter Murrieta (Disney Channel’s “Wizards of Waverly Place”). It is based on the series created by Todd J. Greenwald.

‘Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie’ Premieres August 28; Special Programming Beginning August 24
Manhattan’s magical wizard siblings Alex, Justin and Max Russo accompany their parents on a Caribbean vacation where Alex’s inadvertent magic spell makes it so her parents have never met. When they learn the only thing that will reverse the spell is the magical Stone of Dreams, they embark on a quest through the jungle to find it, with time running out to save their family, in “Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie,” an adventure comedy complete with over 350 special effects, premiering FRIDAY, AUGUST 28 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) as part of the Disney Channel Original Movie franchise.
Filmed in San Juan Puerto Rico, the movie stars Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Jake T. Austin, Jennifer Stone, Maria Canals-Barrera and David DeLuise in the roles they made popular in the hit series “Wizards of Waverly Place.”
In anticipation of the movie, www.DisneyChannel.com will present an exciting two-part game, “Journey to the Cave of Darkness” and “Quest for the Stone of Dreams.” Users can also upload their own photo to become part of the Russo family vacation snapshot, as well as explore and collect hidden objects and unlock bonus behind-the-scenes footage from the movie.

Disney Channel Unveils Triple Crossover: ‘Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana’ Plus a Chance to Win Great Prizes
