Walt Disney Studios has provided is with four new hi-res stills from Disney’s Tangled from Walt Disney Animation Studios, the company’s 50th animated film. The stills appear to be a follow up from yesterday’s release of the 90 second promo, titled Surprise.
Opening nationwide on November 24, Tangled is an action-packed, swashbuckling, animated musical comedy about the girl behind 70 feet of magical, golden hair. A princess stolen from her parents’ castle as a baby, Rapunzel (Moore) is locked in a hidden tower longing for adventure. Now an imaginative and determined teenager, she takes off on a hilarious, hair-raising escapade with the help of a dashing bandit (Levi). With the secret of her royal heritage hanging in the balance and her captor in pursuit, Rapunzel and her cohort find adventure, heart, humor, and hair… lots of hair. It also features the voice talent of Donna Murphy, Brad Garrett and others along with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater.
The new stills have been added to the beginning of our stills gallery below. For more photos, behind-the-scenes images, videos and more for Disney’s Tangled, follow this bookmark.
Walt Disney Studios has just released this following 90 second promo (guaranteed P!nk-free) for its upcoming release Tangled which stars the voice talents of Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi and Donna Murphy amongst others.

It appears that the title surprise in question, however, may end up to be a tad of a spoiler (albeit a minor one), so peruse at your own discretion. Or it could be the surprise is that this is the first time Rapunzel’s name is actually mentioned in an English clip (I think). If you’ve been following our other extensive coverage of Tangled, you’ll see a bit of new footage here. And if you haven’t (but WHY?), you’ll find quite a bit more new footage.
The legend breaks free nationwide November 24 in Disney Digital 3D.
Our good friends at animatie.blog.nl have tipped us off to the new featurette for Disney’s Tangled, titled ‘A Hair-Raising Adventure.’ Featuring a lot of new footage (as well as some story point spoilers), directors Byron Howard and Nathan Greno are joined not only by voice talent Zachary Levi (Flynn Rider) and Mandy Moore (Rapunzel) but also by Donna Murphy (Mother Gothel) whose character is prominently featured in the clip.
Tangled opens in theaters nationwide on November 24.
Photo Gallery: Cast and Crew of Disney’s ‘Tangled’ at Studios Press Event, Plus Disney Parks Meet & Greet Characters
Earlier this month, we told you about a press event for Disney’s Tangled held at the Walt Disney Animation Studios in Burbank, California. Today, Walt Disney Animation Studios has provided us with some hi-res photos from the event featuring the cast and crew of the film, including the Disney Parks meet & greet versions of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider.
Having seen the photos in full detail and after learning some additional information, we believe our assertions that Rapunzel’s hair will be worked into the meet and greet scene were incorrect. Initially based on the original concept art released by Disney Parks, it would appear to be that case, but due to the following reason which would be considered a spoiler, we see that may have changed:
Of course all is subject to change since it hasn’t been mentioned explicitly that this is how they’ll be seen in the parks, but it’s a good chance this is how it will be.
In the mean time, please enjoy the following photos of directors Byron Howard and Nathan Greno, producer Ray Conli, John Lasseter, Alan Menken, Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi. And, of course, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider themselves.
On a very related note, we have been invited to attend a press event for Tangled and TRON: Legacy taking place in the upcoming weeks, so stay tuned!
In addition to the release of two different versions of the trailer for Disney’s Tangled, Walt Disney Studios has provided us with five new stills that we have added to the beginning of our stills gallery below.
As always, click on the thumbnail to see a larger version of the still. You can then click the resize arrow if it appears to view the still at its original size.
Walt Disney Studios UK has released the first official full-length trailer for Disney’s Tangled, the upcoming release from Walt Disney Animation Studios. Consisting of virtually all new footage, the far-more-serious trailer is narrated by Flynn Rider (Zachary Levi) who offers his point on the time he spends with Rapunzel (Mandy Moore) and introduces much of the storyline of the film, focusing on dreams (there are, of course, sub-points/plots to the film as well). The trailer also offers a brief appearance of Hookhand who is voiced by Brad Garrett.
The US trailer, which has been released through Moviefone is substantially different, but follows along the same lines. It also includes a quick look at Rapunzel as a baby when the King and Queen launch the first of the birthday lanterns:

Walt Disney Studios has recently provided us with a slew of behind-the-scene photos, character art and concept art for its upcoming release from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Tangled. If that wasn’t enough, we also received a few additional stills, all of which we are pleased to share with you in hi-res format.
First up is some behind-the-scene photos with the voice talent from the film as they work on bringing their animated counterparts to life. Along with co-directors Byron Howard and Nathan Greno, here you’ll find images of Mandy Moore (Rapunzel), Zachary Levi (Flynn Rider), Donna Murphy (Mother Gothel), composer Alan Menken, lyricist Glenn Slater, producer Roy Conli and recording artist Grace Potter (of Grace Potter and the Nocturnals), who wrote a song for the film.
Next up are three additional stills from the film which have been added to the beginning of our stills gallery below.
Next is our Disney’s Tangled character gallery which features portraits of Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Pascal, Maximus, Mother Gothel and the Snuggly Duckling thugs as well as character models for many of the main characters in the film.
Last, but certainly not least, are new additions to our concept art gallery for Disney’s Tangled which features some amazing landscapes of the Kingdom as well as some street level views.
Although there is just a smidge of new animation and quite a bit of concept art shown in the featurette, nothing too surprising has been revealed that those who aren’t already familiar with the story of Rapunzel couldn’t surmise (that and the poorly guarded secret that Rapunzel’s hair has magic properties). One interesting observation however is that of the birthday lanterns. Featured prominently in the original concept art released for the film as well as becoming the inspiration of a Christmas tree ornament from Disney Store, Mandy Moore briefly explains that they appear every year on Rapunzel’s birthday, but falls short of explaining anything further other than Rapunzel’s curiosity. Jakks Pacific will also soon be releasing a birthday lantern of their own (which we managed to get our hands on) for the film which plays an instrumental loop from a piece titled I See the Light.

Courtesy of the film’s official Facebook page comes this newly offered sketch from Disney’s Tangled which features Flynn Rider (Zachary Levi), Rapunzel (Mandy Moore) and Flynn’s occasionally-faithful steed, Maximus. Apparently Maximus’ allegiance may belong to someone other than his owner judging by the artwork.
